  1. My whole head looking dazed in that photo by Gavin Bond Really glad he captured Chris Dugan taking photos of Billie. He spent the whole show taking photos of Billie. I was like wtf First he was just their engineer, then we saw him carrying Billie's bags and there was that article where he said he helped Billie to build the studio and apartment at Otis and now he's Billie's photographer! Officially Billies bitch.

  2. When I'm stressed out because of work or the general state of my country at the moment, Green Day is literally the only thing that makes some of that tension leave my body. I can leave work feeling like a hot mess and as soon as I get in the car and have some Green Day time, I'm so much happier and more relaxed.

  4. For those who weren't there, the Green Dayette (as Aimee called them) dancers came on during the penultimate number from The Interrupters last night and had some fun! Whole show was a blast.

  7. Now that they're back in CA, does anyone think they'll attend the Grammy awards? Also I think there's a chance they'll be in the running to do the Super Bowl halftime show next year. They need to steer back to something more rock oriented after having Lady Gaga, GD will have just come off of an extremely successful tour, and I've seen them mentioned in discussions about who it will be. Yes, they're very political, but so is Gaga and she was a huge hit. In fact probably a lot of people watched it because they wanted to see if she would go political.

  8. @Tinkle at first I thought you meant Jason White and I was like, "That guy doesn't have it in him to make a disturbing Insta post."

  9. They played Youngblood last night, it sounded great and the audience went mental, all the new songs were great, the crowd, round me at least, were very emotional during SB. It was funny, I don't remember so many expressing their particular desire for songs before, woman in front went mad when She started, and a guy behind (in his suit) was going "please play JoS, please play JoS" so of course went loopy when they did. It was an awesome set listen last night, including KFAD, last time I saw them play it, I kind thought its time was past, but it was great last night, little shorter, lots going on and lots of fun. I though a lot of the younger fans were really surprised by it, there was a bit of "what is this" when's it started, and then they we're off. It was great.

  10. I've never really read the lyrics from Armatage Shanks, and to this day I've always thought the line was "Brain dead, maladjusted". I'm kind of disappointed tbh haha

  11. I hear many lyrics wrong I'm sure, but first few times I heard Billie singing 86 I heard:"theres no return from any sex"... and thought ok...that is interesting^^

  12. When you force yourself to listen to a different artist to prepare for a concert but you would really really really rather just listen to Green Day instead because at least their music makes you feel something. This feels like an assignment and I feel stressed. But I'm seeing ADTR on Friday and I have only ever listened to WSMFY, oops...

  13. Restless Heart Syndrome has the power to make you reflect and make you want to burn down a barn at the same time. It's so poignant, yet it speaks the truth in such an emotional, almost frantic, way. It's a masterpiece.

  14. The hangover from your first Green Day concert is awful. You look forward to it for so long then it's gone in the quickest two and a half hours of your life. Thank you Green Day for the best performance and showmanship that I have ever seen in a concert.

  15. Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums of All Time 193. Green Day, 'Dookie' The album that jump-started the Nineties punk-pop revival. Singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong boiled suburban boredom into airtight, three-minute shots like "Welcome to Paradise," "Basket Case" and the infectious smash "Longview" – which Armstrong described as "cheap self-therapy from watching too much TV." 225. Green Day, 'American Idiot' The Nineties' irrepressible punk brats grew up with a bang, proving they could take on the kind of gargantuan old-school concept album that nobody else seemed to have the guts to try anymore. Billie Joe Armstrong raged against the political complacency of Bush-era America with ferocity and a Who-size sense of grandeur. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/lists/500-greatest-albums-of-all-time-20120531/bruce-springsteen-nebraska-20120524

  18. Was just looking at my aged 19 year old Nimrod booklet, they put it as Amannequin like it's one word, funny. And they put you're a(n) inbred bastard son. Silly record company.
