  2. Oh, great... Another chance for Kerrang to milk Green Day's best hits with shitty bands no one's heard of.

  5. That's very cool too but Trump Towers are actually a thing so "pulverize the Donald Trump Towers" sounds way more powerful to me, no matter if the point of view gets a little bit confused.

  6. Dude, I had the same thought. I did a cover of holiday for an event earlier this year, I modernized it by saying "sieg heil to the president trump man" which I thought made way more sense.

  7. Not much happened, they mostly talked about the election. Me neither...I'm not a big fan of that song anyway. Live versions are better though. I tend to skip it too but I do like the transition from it to Jos

  9. When I had the above conversation with my Mum, she said ''so are GD in their 60's''!! She couldn't believe it when I told her that they're 43/44 years old

  10. This one? Looks like this is also from the same shoot

  11. Great little find! Always nice to see a "new old" interview. I like how it cut to Billie playing with no trousers on at the end too How do you know if they're shitty if you haven't heard of them? I've only heard of Twin Atlantic but they're alright, don't know about the rest yet. Green Day like inspiring newer bands so I think it's cool, I'm sure there'll be some bad stuff on there as there was last time but I'll be interested to hear it.

  12. Only one I've heard of that I can see is Twin Atlantic who apparently drove two days to support GD at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2013! They weren't too bad so be interesting to see what they do with a GD song! Short article with Loudwire here (think it's pretty much the same as some of the other articles flying around at the mo): Article here: http://loudwire.com/green-day-billie-joe-armstrong-president-elect-donald-trump-social-progress-punched-face/ and another one from KROQ here: http://kroq.cbslocal.com/2016/11/10/green-days-billie-joe-armstrong-weighs-in-on-fascist-trump-election/ Looks like all this little articles are copying the same format to be honest!

  13. Random thought..I never really liked the studio version of the song American Idiot...the intensity and anger of the lyrics do not really present themselves in the music (the vocals especially). Fortunately, the first time I listened to that song, it was in Bullet in a Bible, when I was watching American Idiot live on YouTube. I was completely mind-blown by raw power of that song, and how the people cheering during the solo actually made it sound like a revolution. Even now, I always listen to the live version, and I almost always skip the album track of American Idiot. Seriously, compare the music and vocals of this- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSa8H7eIKaM to this- Although I know that most of you would have seen these already, I urge to listen to then one more time.

  15. From Gucci Mane to Green Day, enjoy a playlist of the 2016 Gold Glove Award winners' walk-up music Zack Greinke, D-backs -- Green Day, "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2016/11/09/208487540/enjoy-a-playlist-of-the-walk-up-music-of-each-2016-gold-glove-winner?tcid=tw_article_208487540

  17. Reminds me of how BIAB was on TV a while ago and mom was like "wow he looks good for a 50-year-old!" I told her he was 33 at the time and she said: "he looked good back then and he looks good now!"

  18. Another amusing anecdote about my mum and Green Day I was telling her about Matty Healy (lead singer in The 1975) being pulled onstage to play bass at a Green Day concert when he was a kid/teenager. Me: Matty was onstage with Green Day when he was a kid Mum: What? How old is he? Me: 27 Mum: ... when did Green Day form? Me: Uh. In the 80s. Her: How old is Billie? Me: Um, 43? 44? Her: HOW LONG AGO DID WE SEE THEM?! Me: The first time? Eleven years ago. Or seven years ago for the second time. She then proceeded to have a bit of a meltdown and demanded I show her a recent photo of Billie, which she was incredulous about and thought was from the AI era

  19. How helpful of them . Although unfortunately it just makes it sound like they're referring to a guy called "Pat Riot" when you read it.

  21. Seems unnecessary, we could already hear that the three parts of the song are "I'm Freaking Out", "A Better Way to Die", and "Somewhere (Reprise)" without it being labelled, it's not like it's almost complete songs put together like JOS/Homecoming. Then again they also divided 21st CB into "acts" for no apparent purpose and felt the need to write "I put the riot in patriot" as "I put the 'riot' in PatRiot" in the new booklet too so I guess they like subtitles and spelling things out
