  4. lol, revrad..... another thing they did too much of on his voice in the last albums is compression. A little compression is good, it gives it that professional sound, but too much is too much and it strips away the tonal nuances. Did you read that, Green DAY MANAGEMENT??? pass it on to the engingeers: LESS COMPRESSION. Maybe we should start a thread: Messages to Green Day Management

  5. It's reverb. Unlike the fans, Billie thinks reverb is rad, hence #revrad. It's safe to say he'll use it on the new album in huge quantities.

  6. Heres my opinion. I feel like this song has lots of potential and could be a lot more popular if it had a more authentic feel to it when recorded. Look at good riddance for example. The voice sounds unadulterated and genuine whereas in this song billie has sort of an echo effect on his voice. Im hoping that for their next album they cut out the whole "echo" or voice altering effects and just stick to raw natural sound. It sounds a lot better, and I think if they would have done it for this recording it could have been a huge hit. Edit: In my opinion I think the HLAHGA video sounds better than the recording.

  7. I find it so sweet that he asks if it's good. Humility is so rare.

  8. Was Demolicious really recorded before the actual albums (Uno, Dos, and Tre) were recorded or was it recorded later as a more raw, less polished alternative to a good amount of the trilogy songs after criticism? I'm asking because Green Day didn't start playing the alternate chords at the end of the Demolicious version of "99 Revolutions" live until the 2014 Australia/New Zealand Soundwave festival dates. I just find it kind of weird that they suddenly started playing the demo arrangement live, after they had been playing the final Tre album arrangement for over a year prior.

  12. oh boy... someone should post this on a thread where Green Day management can see it, maybe it will have a bit of influence... management is obviously reading at least some of GDA after they attacked the Jason Freese thread.

  13. I feel somewhat embarrassed that I'd never heard When it's Time, up until a few months ago, and I was just in amazement, and angry at myself that I'd missed it, so I listened to it on repeat for weeks.

  14. I do love MC Rai's cover of Sassafras Roots. It's unrecognisable and I just love when someone takes a piece of music and creates something new and unexpected

  19. I was reading an article today about how there are still tons of tickets available for this years Rock Hall Induction Ceremonies. Why a very small part of me feels bad for this years inductees, a very large part of me is smiling.
