  1. I suppose if it was (in your eyes) just some ex boyfriend who writes songs it might not seem like much of a big deal, especially as like you say it's usually more like an archetypal character and doesn't get into personal details. When talking about the trilogy he said they hadn't seen each other for years but had met up more recently and everything was good, and then there's the song Amanda that seems to be something of a conclusion/closure type of thing so I guess they're both cool with it all.

  2. From what I understand, Linda did return to California with Tre's father and sister.

  3. I didn't complain. I told them that the coffee was great and I would be ordering again. Then I told them that the bag ripped in transit so they might want to include packing material or a smaller box. You could fit two bags in the box they used with no packing material so it was tossed around in transit. They emailed me back, thanked me for the kind words on the taste of the coffee and said they would ship me a new one.

  4. I just listened to 21CB in full for the first time in ages...fucking hell it's utterly glorious. I knew that already but it just properly reminded me. Work of genius.

  6. This is totally random and borderline creepy. You've been warned. Think about this from Amanda's perspective - imagine that the ex you dumped 20 years ago for whatever reason you had is still writing songs about you. Being a listener, I see it more like an archetypial character (whatsername) or a "song about a girl" but the guy has mentioned a lot of these songs/characters are based on this person and no matter what relationship they have now, it must be flattering and weird at the same time.

  7. I did AI a day or two ago but wasn't really in the right mindset to properly take it in, I should do it again.

  8. I always feel this way when I listen to it. You need to be in the mood for it to listen to it in full but it's absolutely perfect

  9. Today I listened to everything from Insomniac to American Idiot and I realised how different from previous albums Warning actually is - I'm not talking about sound now. Both Insomniac and Nimrod are full of anger. It's either self-loathing, raging about somebody else or songs about drugs/booze. At least in comparison, Warning is so upbeat and positive. It's more about doing things your own way withought caring about others and the whole message of that record is optimistic instead of "i hate everything and my life sucks" and maybe this different attitude is what makes it more mature.

  10. I can't believe how many "news" stories were written about a single tweet, honestly. It's amazing how thirsty the music journalists are for news from this band lately. I guess we aren't the only ones! I don't know if we can even begin to understand what he meant by it — it's exciting to speculate, but with him, we should know better than to read too much into it. I think he was just trying to be more funny than anything, rather than make a bold statement, but I could be wrong. If it means a different direction than the trilogy-style music, I hope I am wrong, too.

  11. I had a dream last night that Billie and Adrienne were on Jeremy Kyle. She was upset that he'd winked at a zookeeper who looked like Michelle Obama.
