Just been reminded my first ever Green Day show was 6 years ago today! Totally amazing not least because I met like 30 GDC friends for the first time as well, many from across the world. Meeting everyone and sneaking out of the line to the nearby pub through the day, Anja bringing personalised cookies, then seeing the band performing in front of my eyes (!!!), being silly waving at Jason White with my sister, J'net being so lovely that when Mike handed a security guard a pick to give to her she gave it to me, singing along to American Idiot with the also lovely Tony from Bullet In A Bible himself, and back to Sharon's house with all the rocktober people. Such a great first show. Has to be said that Billie told the worst Before The Lobotomy story of the tour though, wrong date and wrong drinking age
