Fuck's sake Kerrang I'm glad to see the band being acknowledged and whatnot but this could definitely all have gone into at least two issues instead of three.2 points

Now that i think about it, "Green Day: the Early Years" sounds like an educational show or something ANYWAYS, yeah i can see them doing something like that for an anniversary or something. It'd be really cool and it doesnt seem that hard to do seeing as the songs are already written musically and lyrically, it'd just be record them with better equipment/production.1 point

I dont mean necessarily a greatest hits If they did a greatest hits and rerecorded it all, they'd put stuff like JOS and Holiday and stuff on there and i highly doubt those would sound that different from the originals Just idunno like a "Green Day: The Early years" or something and rerecord some 1039/kerplunk and maybe some other stuff1 point

When It's Time is a very good song and it's a shame that it's not played live anymore. I'd like for it to be in a future album, but I'm glad that it was not on the trilogy because it would have been totally destroyed. It would have probably been the best song of the trilogy though PD I wonder if Billie ever had a girlfriend with a normal name1 point

Someone called Shaniqua went to my primary school, her parents were arrested for scamming the lottery. That wasn't Green Day-related, carry on...1 point

Duuude, that's privileged information, that's why I didn't say it.1 point

Also, am I the only one who thinks Amanda would've been a totally kickass song if the recording wasn't so fucked up? Like, why does Billie sound like he's underwater? And why did they take out the cool intro riff, the catchiest part of the whole song? It's like they took each trilogy song and said "hey, let's suck the life out of each one before we stick it on the record."1 point

I love the music and the attitude of Troublemaker. I just wish the lyrics weren't so fucking nonsensical, but I still find myself singing along in the car. "AYY. I LIKE UR BM-DOUUUUBLEYOU."1 point

St. Jimmy at House of Blues is one of the few songs I distinctly remember without the assistance of a recording, simply because it blew me away. He was on fire, but in a good way, regardless if it was fast or not. You could tell he was incorporating some of the character from Broadway into his performance, and it was just so energetic. I was completely floored. And then he ended it with "And that's my name... And I'm in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" and the crowd just lost it, myself included.1 point
