  1. I love the music and the attitude of Troublemaker. I just wish the lyrics weren't so fucking nonsensical, but I still find myself singing along in the car. "AYY. I LIKE UR BM-DOUUUUBLEYOU."

  3. Mine too! I know some people think it's a cliché song, but to me, no Green Day concert seems complete if it doesn't end with Good Riddance. I love that song for both its intended and misinterpreted meaning.

  4. ftfy I agree with this, but only if it's the electric version. There's something about it that works a lot better in the live environment than if it's played on an acoustic guitar.

  5. Yeah, Troublemaker's lyrics are awful but its general sound isn't too bad. Loss Of Control is pretty cool too.

  6. Just listened to Loss Of Control and enjoyed it. Didn't mind Troublemaker, either. I still don't get the line "I'm not straight, 'cause I'm bent out of shape". I see it's supposed to be a pun, but I fail to see the joke.

  7. Completely agree! Surprisingly, it's one single that never gets old to me Yeah that's the main reason why I love this specific performance so much. That guitar sounds fucking amazing.

  9. There are two kinds of rock operas — there’s the Who’s Tommy or Pink Floyd’s The Wall, which have relatively easy-to-follow narratives, and there’s Hüsker Dü’s Zen Arcade or Green Day’s American Idiot, where the songs are thematically linked but the story is less clear. http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/titanic-titus-andronicus-patrick-stickles-on-why-his-band-made-a-93-minute-29-track-rock-opera-about-manic-depression/

  10. I thought it until now! How do I keep living? It makes more sense, but I liked the idea with air. I mean you breathe air and you can snort drugs and that's definitely better/more fun than plain air, haha.

  16. St. Jimmy at House of Blues is one of the few songs I distinctly remember without the assistance of a recording, simply because it blew me away. He was on fire, but in a good way, regardless if it was fast or not. You could tell he was incorporating some of the character from Broadway into his performance, and it was just so energetic. I was completely floored. And then he ended it with "And that's my name... And I'm in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame" and the crowd just lost it, myself included.

  17. If they did it in the style of Misery with Tre on lead vocals I'd never have to listen to anything else ever again.
