  1. The only people who throw Green Day in to that "emoshit" style are people who paid little attention to anything the band actually did in 04.

  2. Actually they tried but failed to put a stop to it

  3. He also often wore eyeliner on stage in the 39/Smooth and Kerplunk days Don't really see how that image was much different to the Dookie image anyway, took just as much time and effort to dye their hair bright colours and wear wacky clothes and was just as much a part of what made the band appealing to people at that time as the AI image was 10 years later. Like most bands they've always looked a certain way as part of the band's aesthetic, according to their taste, the music they were playing and the fashion of the time.

  8. She's even credited in the album booklet along with the additional musicians, "Dominatrix - Mistress Simone". Apparently they told the engineer who was her victim, Tone, that he wouldn't get a credit if he didn't do it

  19. I think they missed a few. How about: "Oh, you're so precious, you're a fucking delinquent Well I got myself jonesin' and I need some fixin' It's a makeout party on another dimension And it's gonna get crowded with some bad intensions"

  20. 50 Of The Most Eye-Poppingly Filthy Lyrics Ever I want you to slap me and call me naughty/Put a beltsander against my skin/I want to feel pain all over my body/Can't wait to be punished for my sins” - Dominated Love Slave – Green Day This is what happens when you let a punk rock drummer sing a song. Tre Cool’s country ditty is an absolute filth-fest. http://www.nme.com/photos/nsfw-50-of-the-most-eye-poppingly-filthy-lyrics-ever/369707#/photo/1

  21. I've always loved the contrast in their outfits. A nice shirt and tie, so clean cut. Then you throw in blue hair, guyliner, nose ring, etc and it brings clean cut to a whole different level.
    1 point
  22. Yeah it's funny how similar that outfit was! And it was still a different look overall obviously, but that's natural since a different time = different fashion and different music = a different look to compliment it.

  23. I agree. Other than, until recently, Billie's dye jobs went to more natural colors. At Woodstock he wore black, with a red tie and blue hair. Just change it to black and you have AI.

  25. Did you not like the red and black color scheme or the black hair and guyliner or both? Because Billie wore some red and black as early as 94.

  26. Cause its a great song, it has a nice beat and some really cool lyrics: "As I stepped to the edge of the shadow of a doubt, with my conscience bleeding. Like the pulse of a drum that hammers on and on till I reach the break of day" Of course, I don't know how a drum hammers, but its Billie, just go with it.

  30. That is really nice to hear, but I'm not surprised. They seem like they would be. None of them seem really into being "celebrities" I know they act the part when they have too, but all of them seem more content to be with their families. That is part of their charm.

  31. That's really cool that you met Tre. Hugh was very down to earth, and the abs were real.

  32. He was going to watch a band play coming out from backstage & I asked him if I could take his picture he said sure - no problem bla bla - gave me a big cheesy grin - congratulated him on his engagement etc (such a fangirl) . Hugh Jackman seems such a down to earth guy.

  35. Yes, I saw Tre patting his heart at the end. He seems very emotional. And the back drop is amazing and fits great with the song.

  39. This live version is better than the studio. Total chaos with fire behind and maniacal laughter... And then it goes into Last Night On Earth, the song about "unapologetic love". I always liked the contrast between the two songs. Billie Joe: " Christian's Inferno is like a subway ride to hell and you kind of end up in outer space with this." Mike Dirnt (about Last Night On Earth) : " It's the most unapologetic love song."

  40. Wow, that was really good. What I don't like about it is it is this angry, manical verses and then it goes into a very poppy chorus. They don't seem to fit. But, he seemed to downplay the chorus a bit and threw in more laughs. That was much better.
