  2. Agreed. When I listen to Green Day, I'm not thinking about Billie. I'm thinking about how the song connects to me and what it says in terms of my life.

  3. I listened to the trilogy so much for the first 15 months after its release, that I can barely listen to it anymore. I have to be in a real mood to do it. Dookie was never really my favorite album, but once I put it on I remember how great it was. I find myself listening to Dookie and Uno only in the car. The real reason why I don't listen to 21stCB (or American Idiot) too often, is because i HAVE to listen to the album in full, or not at all.

  5. In addition to what's been said above, as far as Foxboro goes they haven't talked about a new album recently (although they did describe Dos as being "kind of like" a second Foxboro album because of its sound, themes etc), but they did play two Foxboro shows in March this year and another in October last year. So they haven't been forgotten anyway! Overall they finished their "trilogy era" tour earlier this year as well as releasing an album of trilogy demos called Demolicious, and are now having a break/doing their own stuff.

  7. Hey guys, This isn't a thought but more of a question. I've been out of the Green Day loop since they released the trilogies. (Wasn't a huge fan of them, to be honest.) I'm trying to get up-to-date on all things Green Day & i'm wondering if they've talked about doing a new Foxboro album recently?

  8. Uno has some great songs, but it's probably my least favorite of the three.

  9. Is it just me, or do a lot of songs on the Trilogy just feel weirdly out of place with the respective themes of their albums? I feel like Rusty James feels a lot more at home on Tre, Troublemaker should be on Dos, Stray Heart should be on Uno, ect. It just makes everything feel less cohesive.

  10. I agree. I almost didn't recognize it on Demolicious. Really liked the demo version

  11. I think that Angel Blue is the best song on UNO!

  12. That's rather severe cherry-picking. And how are songs like "She" or "Basket Case" or "When I Come Around" dated? I'd say they can apply to just about any age range. Unless you're saying they sound dated even apart from Billie singing them, in which case I'm not sure how you make that leap.

  13. It's because it's boring that it would fit in well on the Trilogy.

  14. You're welcome. Sadly, those Spin pictures are among rare things I got from Google books, though I plan to get the actual magazine at some point. Anyway, the eight Japanese magazines/books I got off eBay some two weeks ago just arrived. If anybody would like to see any of these before others and knows there's something interesting inside (such as specific pictures, some setlist, well, anything), just ask and I'll make a priority scan list.

  15. Yeah, it was a clever move by Billie to rhyme light with light.

  17. Uups... I might have something to do with it. And they're actually not edited, I posted those 2 pics on tumblr and they got a bunch of notes so apparently people liked them and then some must have posted them on facebook or instagram. And we love it because you have some serious awesome (never seen) material.
