but good sentiments make some good souls

I think GD's catchiest songs are not necessarily/do not necessarily have to be their strongest songs (lyrically or musically). Case in point: stuff like KYE or Chump. They aren't the peak of Billie's songwriting career, but they sure as hell damn rock. Speaking of KYE: after hearing how they play it live, I'll never look at the album version the same way again. KYE is one of those songs that are better when you play it hard, fast, and raw. I just felt the album version was a tad too slow - not to mention the instruments are kinda weak. And oh god Billie's vocals. (Honestly, I never really liked how Billie sounds in 21CB.)

Didn't do the hair or the eyeliner (did once have every 3rd fingernail black - adventurous, I know), but I think everyone's in awe of Billie Joe's agelessness.

Would it be wrong of me to say that Nimrod has the best production out of all of their albums. The bass is fat and warm. The guitar has a lot of punch and bite without overpowering the bass, and the drum kit has tons of punch and aggression without being overly bright or compressed. The vocals also sit nicely in the mix.

Yesterday someone called me an "outlaw" at work, and the next person responded by saying "yeah, she's a rebel!" There's no way that wasn't intentional. They know.

I like the Trilogy! And I have no idea why people complain about it. When the secret shows were happening and we were hearing these songs for the 1st time everyone loved it and loved the songs, suddenly the albums come out and half the people change there minds and hate it all of a sudden, 1 year later everyone hates it. And you know why.... Everyone has a short attention span these days, shiny new things are all people seem to want, then when its not new any more everybody hates it and keeps shouting about what they want next. Enjoy the now a little more!

Well, I don't know if this could be an unpopular opinion but, Foxboro's record should had been a Green Day record.
