I think Panic song contains Green Days best lyrics. And I always thought the "I wanna drop out" part was referring to him leaving the world or escaping from it. But c'mon how can you not enjoy " There's a plague inside of me, eating at my disposition"3 points

beat me to it but yeah literally what the hell2 points

I've always heard it as "I wanna jump out," so that's... interesting.2 points

No way, you need the end! Can't have the build up without the release.2 points

Alright, first of all Panic Song is the best on Insomniac. There's hardly anything to debate there. The spot for number two is highly contested, though. Green Day's best album is American Idiot, and again the number two spot is debatable. Finally, I used to listen to Dookie and feel like most of the non-singles were boring and repetitive. Then when I lived through my teenage years, the lyrics started making a lot of sense and feeling like they came write out of my brain. The songs themselves are like teenagers: expressing very powerful emotions in very simple/immature ways. It's quite amazing actually. Dookie never gets old for me.2 points

Surfers help Pipeline to a Cure raises $1.2 million for CF research Following her speech, Green Day drummer Tre Cool presented Klug, an aspiring drummer, with a pair of autographed drum sticks, and then accompanied her while she sang the band’s song “Welcome to Paradise.” http://www.surfermag.com/blogs/industry-news/surfers-help-pipeline-cure-raises-1-2-million-cf-research/1 point

Whatever he's saying at the end (and fucked if I know, can't make out a word of it) I doubt it's about dropping out of high school, judging by the rest of the lyrics. Although I think the complaint is probably more about the repetitive nature of the lyrics.1 point

Good point, the chorus is "the world is a sick machine" etc.1 point
-
I had a feeling you were going to get that. Sweet addition man.1 point

It is "jump out." Plus, it's not even a chorus. It's just a short ending.1 point

Never understood this, although I've seen it a lot. What's wrong with the end?1 point

Jaded is the worst song on Insominac. It's a great song but compared to the rest of the album I think it's the weakest There's something about Dookie and Nimrod. They're solid albums and contain some of Green Days best work, but they're just not my favourites .1 point

Stuart and the Ave is the best on Insomniac, but that's not difficult.1 point

I personally agree , but I don't think there's that much consensus about Insomniac, always seems to be that people pick a pretty wide variety of different favourites on there.1 point

I am GDA's official animal expert. I answer all non-Green Day questions related to animals. It is an extremely necessary staff position, no website can be without one in the 21st century1 point

I have been slowly but steadily approaching the point when I'm ready to state that in my opinion Westbound Sign is the absolute highlight of Insomniac. Don't ask me why, but that song affects me quite a lot.1 point
-
Oh I agree with ya totally I just wanted to use a Boondocks reference with the good enough part lol1 point

I'm afraid I can't abide these useless articles . Don't see the point in writing them if they're basically going to contain no information.1 point
-
They must not've even done so much as looked at their Wikipedia page, it's not just "Green Day in new clothes" (there's 6 members) and the description of the music is completely inaccurate (they're 60s/garage style not the same but punkier). Useless.1 point

You're not the only one! It's such a Christmassy melody, and "this is the season" in the lyrics doesn't exactly help!1 point

I always see DRB as Christmas song. And for some reason I always imagine a bunch of people marching up the hill with a skull flag from the trilogy box in a slow motion at 4:23 of the song1 point

Tbh, I never liked it, nor did I ever claim to. Everyone was all "OMG PLAY DRB!!!" in the concert threads and I never understood the hype. Only trilogy song that was over-hyped worse was Brutal Love...1 point

Green day are on the 'album pathway' opened in the new Barrowlands Park in Glasgow. It was opened as part of the commonwealth games which are in Glasgow this year! "The album pathway lists the names and dates of every band that has played at the Barrowlands since 1983, more than 2000 appearances." They're just beside the second 16 in the blue. I thought this was pretty cool, if I'm ever in Glasgow I'll take a proper picture this isn't mine lol. More info here1 point

That's crazy cuz I work at a grocery store called Albertsons and I hear Red Tide from time to time, it's awesome! I've also heard; Warning, When I Come Around and Wake Me Up When September Ends. I get so excited when I hear them that all my co workers already know that I love Green Day haha1 point
