Wha..? Their cover of Working Class Hero is the best cover they've done! Really made it different to the original by adding the drums and it sounds so passionate and beautiful! Honestly don't get how anyone could dislike it. I'm hoping Tom's in the minority , I haven't heard it talked badly of on here before.3 points

If they were going to do an Unplugged-type thing, I'd like to see them do what Nirvana did and cover a lot of songs—with the exceptions of "About a Girl" and "Polly", the best songs on MTV Unplugged in New York are the Meat Puppets and Lead Belly covers rather than original Nirvana material. We know from "Working Class Hero" and the 21CB covers that Green Day can do really great cover recordings if they put their hearts into it. I'd also like it to either be in front of a live audience or to just be the live-in-the-studio album Billie's been blowing smoke about for God knows how many years—I do not want to give him a chance to fuck it up by overlaying really heavy vocal filters or some such shit.3 points

They took the classic Springsteen-esque thing of putting serious lyrics to a jolly sounding melody and making it seem light hearted. It arguably makes it seem darker, in my opinion.2 points

Class wars are still going on now tbh. Come Together is a horrible song in comparison to other Beatles stuff. Very overrated.1 point

I like him like that. Smooth, chubby, soft belly.... looks so healthy, I really dig it... probably ´cause I can offer the same.1 point

I agree for the comparison with ''Come together''. But the trilogy lyrics are still crap Kidding, I really don't like some of the lyrics, too simple, cliché, boring... But some of them are also really good.1 point

I think you've got to take into account the time. Now that stuff has all been said before and is cliched but then it wasn't. Class was a much bigger thing then especially over here. Implying that he was a working class "hero" was a bit egotistical but as far as what he was writing about I don't think it was exaggerated, a lot of people have faced and do face those things.1 point

The only thing I don't like about GD's Working Class Hero cover is that they tacked on the outro from the original Lennon track. Kind of brings down an otherwise decent song, in my opinion.1 point

I'm torn on the idea of them doing an acoustic album. I LOVE the acoustic encores and the acoustic version of Redundant when Billie and Mike played it for MTV is incredible. But then there's things like the bridge show which even though I have it on my ipod isn't great, but I really love When I Come Around from it. The KALX acoustics are really good and fun to listen too but they're kind of lacking something. If they did an Unplugged type thing they would have to really be feeling it ya know? They couldn't just blast through the songs like they did with the bridge school and with all three of them the songs wouldn't be missing something, Billie and Mikes harmonies are a key too. But I think a lot of songs from pretty much their whole career except a 1039 and most of Insomniac would be usable, especially American Idiot. A lot of songs from that album would be beautiful unplugged, same with 21st. I don't think the trilogy would work well acoustically though, maybe a couple of songs like Rusty James or X Kid but not ones like Missing You or SWTRLF. But overall I'd love to see them do it, especially a performance like Unplugged compared to an album.1 point

Definitely with the video (my favorite of theirs), but I think the lyrics are meant to be more sarcastic than humorous.1 point
