I met Tré I met him in Milan two days before their concert. They had been posting pictures of the city center so obviously I went there trying to find them I remember I took the underground when a friend of mine texted me that Mike was at Duomo, I was like "fuck I've got to get back there :runaround: " because OBVIOUSLY I was going to another part of the center. So when I arrived there I saw nobody and I felt really sad...I mean, I go to uni in Milan and I'm in Piazza del Duomo like every two days. So I wandered around the center, I went to the park, then back to Duomo...I was losing hope when I saw a familiar guy (no, not Tré ). It's that bodyguard/tech who works with them, I remember seeing him at Shepherd's Bush last year. I thought "wow, that guy really looks like their bodyguard " and then two seconds later I realise there's a man with green hair standing next to him taking pictures with his phone. I was like oh my god it's Tré! I stood there staring at him because I didn't know what to do, my mind was blank...he must have noticed me staring at him like this because he turned around and said "hi! how are you?" with his strange voice he didn't look bothered so I said "Hi! jsdhiifei good, how are you?" I don't remember what he replied, he went on taking pictures so I asked him if he liked Milan but then a couples of girls arrived and I thought that he was probably going to go away, so I asked him if I could take a picture with him and he said "sure!" and the bodyguard took a picture! I remember thinking "oh-my-god I'm taking a picture with him". Then the two girls took a picture as well, he said bye and I took a picture of him saying goodbye oh and obviously I forgot to give him a letter I wrote for him and the guys...d'oh!2 points

I met Mike At the House of Guitars signing thing he did in Rochester. And he was SO NICE. I mean, everybody says that, but he really was. He's so personable. I walked up there and I was nervous as hell cause I'd never met anybody famous before, let alone a member of my favourite band, so I had been like rehearsing what I was gonna say in my head and didn't end up saying any of it all But he shook my hand when I got up there and then I gave him the poster to sign, and it was kind of amusing cause it was this rare one I'd found in my room somewhere and he was like, "where the hell'd you get this thing?" and I just "\sflkhjllksjhs um out of a book somewhere aklfshjd" you know, like a total idiot, but then I managed to compose myself and he asked if my name has an E on the end when he was signing it, which was awesome because nobody ever asks that and I was glad that he did and then he shook my hand again and said "See you at the show tonight, Brooke!" and I almost had a heart attack basically. Then afterwards I was all mad at myself cause I never asked him for a hug, dammit. but hey, I met him and it was pretty much the best two minutes of my life.1 point

Check out this crazy article I found by James "Brain Stew" Washburn (James, Put Down That Skinhead) (Y'know, that guy?) http://gimmesomethingbetter.com/excerpts/james-washburn-injury-report He mentions Green Day, and their 1995 tour. It's not new, but it's a great read for anyone who knows who he is1 point

Larry Livermore answered some questions on Punknews.org and a couple of them involve Green Day I realize Tre is awfully busy these days, but are there any plans for the Lookouts? For example, might you release the B-sides from the IV recording sessions (such as your cover of "House of the Rising Sun")? You were right when you said that the Lookouts were really hitting their stride by the IV EP, so it would be great to hear any material that still exists. Larry: Yeah, we talk about a Lookouts reunion every couple years, but nothing ever seems to come of it. Tre's actually pretty into it, or at least he's said so several times, but Kain lives in Hawaii, and hasn't been involved that much in music for a while that I know of. We'd like to re-release all the Lookouts material from Spy Rock Road on, including the 7"s and the compilation tracks, but it seems to be one of those things that maybe will happen one day, or maybe not. But the outtakes from the IV sessions that haven't already been mixed and mastered are probably lost now, because they were on analog tape that may no longer be salvageable, if in fact anybody even knows exactly where it is. Interesting trivia point, though: the IV sessions in 1990 were the first time Billie Joe and Tre ever played music together (as some of you may not know, Billie played guitar and sang backup on three of the songs, plus a couple other songs that later appeared on compilations). I recently reminded Billie of that and he was all arguing "No it wasn't!" but eventually he had to admit I was right Why weren't Tre's parents freaked out that a guy pushing 40 wanted to start a band with a 12 year old? Were you actually friends with his parents before hand? Larry: Tre's parents were my closest neighbors on the mountain, only a mile down the road, and yes, I'd known them ever since Tre was a little kid. Well, an even littler kid. I think he was 8 or 9 when I first met him.1 point

In an ideal world, they would do a two week residency in London where they play each album in full over the course of the two weeks. They could do the 11 studio releases over 11 days, with rarities as the encore, then the last 3 days can be a mash up of requests from the audience, covers and anything else they feel like playing. Of course this will never happen, but other bands have done similar things in the past.1 point
