I queued for Lyon and Paris last year, both from around 7am. I managed to get decent spots, but not as decent enough as you'd expect for queuing for 12h and being among the first 20 people in line (first 10 in Lyon). In Paris I was 2nd row right in front of Jason White, and in Lyon I was first row a bit further away to the side of Mike's spot. So I wouldn't say it's totally worthless to queue. I also find it a fun experience... It's nice to spend the day surrounded by other fans, hearing people's stories of how long they've been fans, previous shows they've been to, etc. Even if you show up alone, you end up making friends. And sometimes the people you meet in the queue end up being the people you'll enjoy the concert with. The last hour is quite stressful though š I've got VIP entrance for both nights in the end (I know I won't be VIP nor queuing for Lux or Amsterdam, so I wanted to make sure to get good spots for these two), and I've got North entrance for both nights as well. I'll probably go check out the VIP queue situation early (not 7am though š ), and depending on what I see I'd either stay in the queue or go hang out for a while with the people in the regular queue (it feels wrong to me to get a good spot without waiting outside all day, being that I'm young and fit enough to do that ). A bit annoying the whole thing with two entrances though, as that means we can't all queue together. Hopefully the VIP queues will be close to the regular queues though. It'll be my first time in Austria too! -

It seems more reasonable if we are all separated in different lines. Maybe can we do a group chat in instagram or something else? -

I wanna meet some people but I don't know if I can manage to be in a rush all day, since I will be arriving to Austria the very same day (17th) My ticket for the 17th is a seat, but for 18th is a VIP one. I don't know what to do haha -

If they wanted to ever go dark or edgy then Bang Bang would have been THE song to do it in. Not OEB. I still have no idea the meaning behind the OEB video. I also wish they would add Bang Bang to the set list as it was a #1 single and cut Know Your Enemy or even May hitchin a ride. But overall waste of a video should have put the production and money behind a different song. TADIKM made sense to go wild. Ashamed that that song seems to have dropped from the setlist -

Thatās a fair point. I think I like it so much because of the potential, but I have been feeling disappointed too because if they had given it more time and care, I really think this couldāve fit right into the album, rather than being a B-Side. These guys have been recycling melodies a bit in recent albums, so maybe this will get a facelift and the care it deserves in a future release? Probably not, but a boy can dream -

Oh man, is this my new rep on GDC? The Grohl: Hates LOTAG, said hi to Kevin once, and despises the GD store? I'm very happy you had a good experience with the official store! -
What is your favorite GD era aesthetically? (This includes album covers, press material, posters, tours, outfits, etc)

For me it'll always be from Dookie to nimrod. Most of it to me is just three dudes rolling up to gigs in whatever they wore the previous day thrashing away on beat up instruments, which I found relatable when I was getting into the band. Nimrod they started to do more of the stage bits, but it still carried the feel I described. Certainly lends itself since they would roll up in mechanics' shirts at that time. -

Bad luck, Iāve got Süd for both nights. š But hey, GDC! Who else would like to meet for queuing? Then we can meet according to the entrance weāve got! -

I actually like all of the new songs (minus the acoustics, they are fine but I was expecting something more raw) Green Day loves the Fuck Off riff: Murder City Carolinaās Ultimate Netflix Tweet the end of Letterbomb ā¦probably others I canāt think of right now -
Well that took a dark turn š I thought that too... either pedophile or domestic violence? But very dark turn either way. Yeah, totally agree (except there are two other GD videos I really don't like)... and it's a shame too, because the performance bits were quite good, and as mentioned the guys are looking cute as ever.

As Iām going alone on the second night Iād love to meet some of you to queue together. But Iām not sure when. General opinion seems to be that very early queuing doesnāt make sense because of the VIP tickets. And there seem to be different entrances for the FOS tickets: Nord and Süd. So different queues probably⦠-

Iām doing both of these shows!! Iām VIP for night one, regular front standing for night 2. Would love a meet up. My first time in Austria!! Also, my friend is planning on camping and I definitely will not be doing that so if anyone wants to be queue buds let me know! I can do early but not that early š -

The problem with Stay Young is the potential it has. The melody is great and with an actual chorus it could be elevated way more. The repetition makes it feel like such a drag and feels much longer than it is. It feels unfinished like they could have worked on it more and brought out a great song in it. -

This is the only Green Day video I really don't like. The song is so much fun and seeing someone getting tortured/killed isn't, and neither is a child abuser (if that's what he's meant to be), and everything is ugly. Just an unnecessarily unpleasant video. The original is perfect so I'll stick with that. -
It's the only Green Day video I actively dislike. The ONLY saving grace is Billie's hotness and fabulous outfit.

In the Kerrang article he says he is doing long runs and swimming in the sea a lot, itās clearly good for him, he looks amazing! He says the running is good for his mental health, not an original thought but so true and Iām glad itās working for him.

ā¦when the simple act of buying tea can turn out to be quite funny. This morning I went to my favorite tea shop (that has a very charming owner) to buy the usual Sencha tea. The owner was there and began telling me about this new brand they had and how good it was, showing me the package. And on the label it said āJapan Sencha Green Dayā. Hilarious: Iām very sure this German tea company has no clue that a band by that name exists nor what the expression Green Day actually meansā¦š By now the owner probably was wondering why I was grinning all over my face, and so I told him that as a huge fan of the band Green Day I would of course try that tea. And he said that in the past he had also been a fan and bought all their albums. So I recommended Saviors and he promised to listen to it. What a nice shopping experience!š -

Really love reading members views on GD songs. So, fascinated with the fans song ranking on greenday.fm. https://greenday.fm/charts/green-day-song-chart-top-50/ The link shows top 50, but you can click at end to get full list of 263 songs. Wow. Currently 'Dilemma' is number 3, my fav song 'Look Ma, No Brains', no. 14. And new in at no. 37 is 'Ballyhoo'.
