I didn't see a topic about this and we've been talking about it in the Ordinary World thread. I was able to pull up a ticket last night  (they are free) and then it said "sold out " about five minutes later. As of this morning more tickets were available so maybe they are releasing them a few at a time?

 

I emailed the event organizer to ask about a possible performance or autograph signing and he responded with the following :

DESCRIPTION

Join Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong as he discusses his film "Ordinary World," about a former punk rocker facing forty who is having trouble coming to terms with his lot in life after a failed music career. When his wife (Selma Blair) and kids forget his 40th Birthday, his brother (Chris Messina) gives him money to throw an old school punk rock blowout in a Manhattan hotel. Over the course of a day, Perry's punk past clashes with his middle-aged reality as he encounters crazy former bandmates (Fred Armisen, Billie Corrigan) and a former flame (Judy Greer).

You have to keep checking. I could have registered for a ticket 10 minutes ago. Like I said, last night it said "sold out" yet this morning a Forum member was able to register. This place is tiny as far as I know. Good luck and don't give up!

 

Maybe if you create an eventbrite account it's faster for "checking out" or there's a way to get an alert for more tickets?  The email address for the event organizer seems to be gone but I can PM it to you and you can ask whatever you want. They got back to me fairly quickly.

The event is once again listed as sold out. My friend can no longer go and he was my ride. If anyone is coming from Rochester, Buffalo,Syracuse etc and can get me you can have my extra ticket. Not to get anyone's hopes up but there was a similar build event with Amy Lee from Evanescence last week and it looks like she did meet fans there. Anyway,PM me with ideas. Thanks .

I think 1039 is fine. I don't think they let us in til 11:30 anyway and as far as I can tell this place is tiny. Let's just hope he brings his guitar.
