Lone Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Talk about the fourth song off the album here. Lyrics Say goodbye to the ones that we love Say goodbye to the ones we love Say goodbye to the ones that we love Goodbye to the ones that we love Say goodbye to the ones that we love Say goodbye to the ones we love Say goodbye to the ones that we love Say goodbye to the ones that we love Violence on the rise Like a bullet in the sky Oh lord have mercy on my soul Kindred spirits sing For the sick and suffering The city of damage control This is how we roll Say hello to the cops on patrol Say hello to the cops on patrol Say hello to the cops on patrol Say hello to the ones in control Teach your children well from the bottom of the well Oh lord have mercy on my soul Hear the children sing for the sick and suffering A city of damage control This is how we roll Violence on the rise Like a bullet in the sky Oh lord have mercy on my soul Kindred spirits sing For the sick and suffering A city of damage control This is how we Say a prayer for the ones that we love Say a prayer for the ones that we love Say a prayer for the ones that we love Say goodbye to the ones we love Say a prayer for the ones that we love Say a prayer for the ones that we love Say a prayer for the ones that we love Say goodbye to the ones we that we love This is how we… Song page on GDA: http://www.greendayauthority.com/music/song/759/
Sigrev2 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Second favorite song on the entire thing, behind Ordinary World. Hooks for days, man.
the69thgumby Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 This should definitely be the fourth single.
Asa. Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 This one is so fucking different for them but so amazingly unique. I love it! Heavy shit!
The Grateful Green Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 This song stuck out more than the others
greendepent Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 This is like a mix of Holiday, Personal Jesus and Beatuful People. Even lyrics are a bit repetitive to my taste, is a really cool one. It really stands by itself
Jacqattack95 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 reminds me of fall out boy post-hiatus. probably my least favorite on the album to be completely honest
House Of Wolves Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 When "East Jesus Nowhere" came out, people talked about how it sounded like "Beautiful People". This sounds even more like that song. Edit: It still rules
Karl Karlson Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Sounds like Fall Out Boy mixed with 30 Seconds to Mars - a real letdown after "Bang Bang" and RR, for me at least
PatronSaintJimmy Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 When this track first started my jaw totally dropped. It was definitely one of those 'Holy shit' moments.
Wouter1994 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 sounds like U2 - The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone) to me.
DeJennsitized Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 This is the one that was in my head after the first listen of the album. Love it!
Denice Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I can't get this song out of my head. Definitley one of my favourites from the album.
DirtyRottenBastard Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Probably my favourite on the album. There's really not a single bad song on this album! I'm digging the new sound.
Lacky Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 At the first listen, it was Personal Jesus in my head I'm still not in love with this song, don't know why, but I'm sure it will grow in my ears listen after listen.
Akshat Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 sounds a lot like a song I keep listening to all the time but can't recollect what's it called. Edit: The song I was referring to is called The Art of Losing. Trust me, they sound a lot similar. Have a listen
alecandstuff Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Personally, I this is the kind of songs I was expecting to hear off this record leading up to release. Big sound, great lyrics, and seemingly politically charged with lines like "Say Hello to the cops on patrol, say hello to the ones in control" and "Violence on the rise, like a bullet in the sky". Seems to be a social commentary of sorts on the things going on here in America, at least from where I'm standing. Anyway, the song is great, all the way down to the dirty sounding guitars, and unique vocal effects
Steven Seagull Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Probably the most average song on the album. It's so repetitive.

It's got a bit of Burn It To The Ground about it, I'll give you that!
Ross_19 Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 First listen through done! The sound of this song really caught me off guard! It sounds incredible, can't wait to explore it more!
DanPak Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 I love it! The song itself isn't a huge left turn for Green Day, but the production really is. I fucking love the bow guitar parts! The only downside is the super repetitive lyrics in the chorus.
Jogs Posted September 26, 2016 Posted September 26, 2016 Did anyone heard the crying voice towards the end of the song?! or is it just backing vocals...it's kinda freaky!
