In theory most concerts allow photos but not filming.  It's not a policy that's practical to enforce though, so a very large number of people film anyway.

Just put it between your legs inside the pants :P a gopro isn't that big. Almost all concerts in germany allow "pocket cameras" that have no detachable huge lenses. And if you film or take a photo... They can barely tell nor do anything against it

It really depends on the venue (and how the security are feeling that day haha). At some shows they're really strict and will try to take your camera away even in seats, but then some people film the whole show from the front row and they don't care.

If you have standing tickets and are going to be lining up for a good spot I'm not sure if it's worth it. At one of the US shows I went to in 2013 a guy had to leave his camera outside because security wouldn't let him in with it.

Might be worth calling the venue before the show and seeing how they react, or asking people who've been to that particular venue how they are with filming.

I just read the first sentence and thought you were talking about something else. Lol

Sorry if this is off topic but it's too fun not to share. Someone actually took one to an Arctic Monkeys show and the drummer nicked it and wore in on stage for a song. It's up on youtube and really really, cool. imagine the stuff that would go down if Billie found one in the crowd...

Most venues or shows forbid filming or recording, specially if they see is a really good camera. But in other cases they don't bother that much since gopro and most cellphones suck at recording in loud and dark places with high contrast.

Leave your go pro at home and enjoy the show. Not because of the rules, I don't give the slightest fuck - because you're missing a concert when you stand there filming it. Rush into the densest part of the crowd and lose yourself in it. That's what a show is about.

Do it! Don't see how it can ruin the show for you when you will be doing what you wanted to anyways.

I know what you mean , but when i take the gopro with me it wil be fixed on my head so i can enjoy the show without holding a camera or a phone like everyone else :P

They'll probably take it away. It's also fucking annoying to the people behind you.

Go Pro's don't NEED the stick, it's not always gonna be visible to the people around. I'm thinking about taking mine for tour, not cause I wanna ignore the show (god forbid), but cause I wanna document my entire trip round Europe :) it's always gonna be a risk with a high value item. But it also does depend on the security at the venue, I tried filming a band at Warped tour in the US last year and the security told me to put it away.

If you do record your concert and share it, you'll get your own topic in the download section :D

like people said it depends on the venue if at all possible research to see if there's any other bands recordings from the same venue are available

hmmm..thats a good questions....well i think that gorpo is forbidden at concerts...because as i wanted to watch a baseball game...they asked if we had a gropro camera and that those arent allowed...so im pretty sure that it is neither allowed at concerts
