Teenage Lush Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 they haven't played in indiana in 11 years, i feel your pain the past three times i've seen them i've driven seven, eight, and nine hours, respectively. they are playing st. louis, chicago, columbus, and detroit just on the first part of this tour though so they're starting to make up for it!!!
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I used to be part of the "come to the Midwest" movement but I really can't complain anymore. Two Ohio shows in less than two years? Fuck, I must be dreaming.
Sixtrix Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 They haven't had their own show in the Netherlands for 7 years. Last time they were here was in 2013, but they headlined a festival. Maybe that's the reason why they haven't been to a few places in the past few years because they weren't able to do a proper tour during the trilogy.
Justin1 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I saw them when they came to Winnipeg (1 hour north of Minnesota, technically the mid-west) for the 21st CB tour, and they only sold around 7,000 tickets and sold out in most other cities. I had a feeling they weren't gonna be back for a while. Maybe they are just testing the water in the big cities first to make sure they can still sell out arenas, and if sales are good, will do a second part of there tour in mid 2017 after Europe for the small to mid-sizes cities.. That's my guess.

Too bad 95% of Minnesota's civilization lives like over 5 hours away from Winnipeg including me and that's coming from me living in Northern MN

I'm sure it would be more likely Green Day would play in Minneapolis or St. Paul before Winnipeg. I saw them at the Xcel Energy Center before and it was awesome 🙂

I live less than a minute from one actually, I can look outside and see it from my house. I'd love to see them play Target Center or Excel, or even US Bank Statium, although it'd be hard to sell a 70,000+ venue in Minneapolis where the other 2 are more like 35,000 tops
