Aidan UK Posted August 11, 2016 Posted August 11, 2016 My name's Aidan Taylor. I live in London, UK and me and Green Day go waaaaay back. I organised their first UK tour, appeared in their infamous Christmas nativity play (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WwjMYMmCx4) as the "midwife" and they were kind enough to invite my old band Joeyfat as support on their first major UK tour after they signed to Reprise. I also helped run the short lived European outpost of Lookout records. But this isn't about me. My former co-conspirator Lawrence Graham Leigh who used to book shows with me, including a few of Green Day's,. He also ran a label putting out music by one of Green Day's fave UK band, China Drum who also toured with them. Unfortunately Lawrence is now very ill with a rare form of cancer. The band would have made it huge without our help, but we were there near the start! In the UK we do have a publicly funded healthcare system... but he has a form of cancer that may be cured with a special treatment and we're setting out to raise £16000 to help pay the share of it the public health service (NHS) won't meet.
