Green Day Pilgrimage

I am a very on again off again GDCer, but I happen to be in the Bay area this summer for an internship.

I was thinking of maybe doing a Green Day "Pilgrimage" sometime this summer, and I was wondering if anyone has ever done something like this?

If I were to do this, I'm planning on just driving around one day and hitting up notable landmarks related to Green Day's History, and it will largely be hitting up a few points on this map: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?dg=feature&msa=0&mid=1a8i-3x0YGa2rI-Mbf4FG1WPe8DQ

If anyone else is in the bay area too that might be interested in joining in it would even more fun?

Don't forget Powell St Station in downtown San Francisco, where parts of the When I Come Around Video were filmed.

I actually did something like that a couple of years ago, but my "pilgrimage" was limited cause I was alone and could only move around by bus/BART. I went to GIlman Street, the Ruby Room, the Fox Theatre and Rudy's Can't Fail cafe (the one next to the Fox Theatre), and the Powell Street station in SF.

I made that map. It did have more places on it originally (which I found though public sources) but I was asked by mods to remove certain places out of respect for the privacy of the band and I oblihed. I do know where Otis is but the band doesn't want it made public so I will not reveal it. I'll update it with a few more places though.

 

Added Broken Guitars and 1-2-3-4 Go! Records. I thought the When I Come Around video was filmed at the Fruitvale Station. Was if Powell for sure?
