Justin1 Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 I'd ask them if they could compare the sound of the album to any of their others, what would it be? I'm getting a little antsy in my pantsy for new music
Sanity Loan Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Is it a lighter sound like the trilogy or Warning, or is it heavier like AI, Insomniac, or 21CB?

YoungBlood Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 if any of the new songs were written years ago - Was good riddance written in the early 90s but not released till 1997?

If I remember right, Good Riddance was written right around the time they were recording Dookie, and I think there is an old B-Side Demo floating around with just Billie on acoustic.
localinsomniac Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 That Good Riddance demo is on the Brain Stew/Jaded single. I would like to ask Billie what his biggest lyrical inspirations were, or if there are any recurring themes.
unextraordinarygirl Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Does this album sound like old stuff from Green Day? Does it rock hard? What are your lyrical inspirations this time around?

Private Ale. Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I would ask the album(s) it will resemble most. If it's like Nimrod/insomniac then yay for me. If it's like warning or dookie ,that's nice. I don't know why i don't want rock opera..Well, i admit i don't want trilogy either.Kerplunk and 39/smooth are out of question but it would be a nice surprise.

And to this they would respond "F(woo) the old albums, let's start something new." Except with lots of "ya knows" thrown in for good public speaking. Can't think of a question I'm dying to ask them. I would ask what is their inspiration these days, but I'm fairly certain of what Billie would say in response to that. (us of course. Fans are their inspiration.) Errrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I guess my real question would be if they could give us a song title and briefly describe that one song. Also, I might ask them NOT to film the recording process of the album, or at least not release it as a movie. I enjoyed Heart Like a Hand Grenade and Cuartro as much as the next fanboy, but music is the bottom line and music should be the focus. I think everyone is full when it comes to Green Day documentaries. Give us great singles instead! In place of lyric videos, give us high art music videos. Instead of telling us you've been around since 1988 and flipping us the bird, play some amazing shows and flip us the bird. So long story short, I guess I'd ask them a question that doesn't really matter, then start telling them how to do their job. Haha. Not Dead.
