XxXxXxXxX Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I spend way too much time watching videos of Green Day's live performances. I figured other people might do the same... What are some of your favorites? Here are mine. This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE single recorded live song. Found this one this morning Reading 2013 - Full show - good quality - 2 and a half hour performance. I have watched it maybe 10+ times Also good quality Sets Drum Set on fire King for a day - Bullet in a bible. Cant get enough of all the "Heyy Ohhs" covers of non green day songs Woodstock the intro
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 ^ I came here for this. I only saw that one back then and I do not remember how it was and don't dare to watch again Irving Plaza 2012 comes to mind as a good one. It has an awesome setlist and professional quality.
Siddharth_471 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Jaded in Chicago and Woodstock '94 were great live performances but for me nothing can beat Bullet In A Bible and Reading + Leeds 2013. EDIT: Rock Hall induction performance was also kick-ass and also House Of Blues.

I love this song and LOVE this live version; I love how Billie puts 110% of himself into this performance, even though the crowd is lame as hell. As a musician, I appreciate how incredibly difficult that is:
Maddie86 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 i taped this one off TV when I was a kid and i watched it a million times, so this show will always be special to me
Siddharth_471 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 This might be one of their greatest moments and their energy was just great in it (extremely short though): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRRzi2hALEY

I mean, I really like AAF, but that one song in particular never fails to strike a chord with me.

deadair Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Classic performance from the Dookie tour- One of my favorites, a concert with an awesome setlist from the Warning tour- First version of "Let Yourself Go" I ever heard, so it has a special place in my heart-
Robbie1039 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 This performance is fast, angry, love this one. I feel like they were all on point in this performance Favorite performance of St. Jimmy. This whole show has great sound! And this one's really awesome because it's the last song of the American Idiot Tour.

Is it really that good of a festival? Ive seen performances (Recorded) from other bands as well that among some of my favorites at Reading
Chin for a Day Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 This has always been one of my favorite performances
Sarcasm Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 delete the youtube videos from the quotes you fucking savages
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I can't post a link now so i'll just mention that another favorite of mine is the live acoustic performance of Redundant they did on Mtv.
okotavio Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Little Girl is such an amazing live song it makes me wonder why they didn't play it most of the tour. This performance is sick. I always liked this performance more than those another thousands of Minority. Not sure why. This one is special because it was the first time I got to see them playing live on TV while being a fan since 2008. This was the first trilogy song that leaked back in those secret shows in a reasonable quality. I felt in love with the song from the very first listen. Also I couldn't find their Know Your Enemy performance at the VMAs Japan 2009
Chin for a Day Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 I really need to see this song performed live before I die.

Spoilered to save load time
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 This will always be one of my favorite live performances because Billie Joe's attempts to stifle his laughter are so damn funny: Waited 10 years to hear Ohio referenced during Holiday (in person) — the energy during this performance was unreal: And I've never felt prouder of the band than when I saw them perform Basket Case after their induction. I never really appreciated the song before, but it's really given it a whole new meaning for me because of the energy and reactions I felt from the entire audience... everyone was on their feet and jamming, unlike with the other inductees that all seemed lackluster in comparison. It'll always be the performance I think of when I try to summarize the scope of their career to other people. (Honestly I'm getting a little emotional even thinking about the fact that I saw it in person, I think that's enough Internet for today ): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GPhUZbPPN8 ^ not sure why this YouTube video isn't embedding like the rest... No explanation needed, really:
