areyouseerious Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Hey all, Just wondering if there is a large Green Day following here in Ireland, considering that only a handful of people I know have even HEARD of Green Day Thanks, -areyouseerious
sara_gd Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Here you go It's a thread to talk to other Irish fans, it's been inactive for a while but it exists haha.
Alan86 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 I would say they did have a good following in Ireland. They played Ireland every tour with the exception of the 99 revolutions tour. But that tour didn't make it to a lot of places. They always had a good turnout for their concerts.

I know on Record Store Day when Demolicious was released there was only one copy left in Dublin an hour later so that's not bad. There are fans here but I think we just are less visible if that makes sense. Of course it doesn't help that most of the young Irish people have been FedExd to Australia or Canada in recent years

Holiday on Awesome as Fuck is from Marlay Park IIRC? And yeah, emigration is a bitch

I wish it was from the Marlay Park show cause Bille started singing "the Saints are coming" after the guitar solo.

The O2 was a sell out alright, so they've obviously got a decent sized fan base here
