Album cover

What would you make if you had a great influence on new album cover?

Overall, I like trilogy covers the least. I think those covers aren't color-coordinated.. The idea of putting their faces was good, but they could have made it better without using such as bright colors.

I dared to design an album cover :D What do you think about this? Would you be satisfied if guys unveiled something like this? IMO went off well. No idea what 'revrad' means, but maybe associated with 'revive', 'revolution, 'revelry', the second part with 'radiance' or 'radioactivity'. God knows.. I looked through the vocabulary list to ascertain which word could regard Green Day. Don't even know what title is really gonna be.

I know it's simple work but I'd rather see sth like this than sth sort of trilogy.

I really hope they don't go with anything too goofy for the next one. I haven't liked any of their artwork since american idiot, and before that the cover of Warning wasn't very good. I hope they don't use a band photo for the cover this time, and I do think something simple like the above artwork would be kinda cool

The "Demolicous" cover is pretty sick!

for a special release it was pretty good, but it's nowhere near an iconic album cover

Nah I like trilogy covers more.

There have been two albums.

There has only been one.

Love it . Imagined album covers please me in general, and that one's really good!

My only hope for the real artwork is that it isn't boring. They have an excellent track record of interesting and varied covers though so seems unlikely it would be.

I actually like the style of your artwork more than the trilogy album covers, I didn't like those at all to be honest. What I'm most curious about at this point is what the new logo is gonna be like if they decide to use a new one.

I actually like the Trilogy artwork.  They probably could have chosen better pictures for them, but I like the simplicity of them.  It isn't their best album covers, but I still like it.

I actually think it's time for another band photo cover. There's only been one. But I think their look should be "Punky Gentlemen".  Billie Joe has sported this look to great effect.  Think: Foreverly photoshoot. I put the pictures on the Billie Joe pictures thread.  I'm talking fitted non shiny, not quite matching suits with vests in the standard black, grey and maroon colors they wear,  and floppy bow ties or somewhat askew regular ties.   Polka dots and stripey socks as subtle whimsical accents.   Suspenders.  That kind of thing  Then  do up the fluffy punky hairdos and even keep the eyeliner.  This would be so cool!  What is their stylist's number, I want to call her!

I think this should finally convince people that Billie doesn't look good with a beard.

if they do go with another band photo cover i'd like see a kickass live photo rather than a posed photo or an awkward candid photo like warning

The Warning cover is the worst, clearly should've been the lightning man! I'm not hugely into posed Green Day photos, Cometbus described how the band tends to look in them well as something like either over the top silly or like constipated James Deans , showing the band as less nuanced and interesting than they really are. I liked the trilogy ones because they're fun and spontaneous but for a group shot to be cool/interesting/not boring they'd have to think of something good.

the cover photos for the trilogy aren't too bad, but i think the colors they used were kinda tacky. also, i think the band photos on the inside cover are pretty awkward, like they were trying too hard to look like rock stars

I like the inside cover photos better than the covers. They are better than most other photos they have. Less artificial so to speak.

We can agree he doesn't look good with a female body.

this is a nice album cover ..i like imaginative album covers rather than band pictures , like kerplunk or nimrod. Symbolic and not  a political cover. that's what i'm hoping for

I do like the idea of cover art featuring a band photo.  I think it is personal, but as someone said, candid photos are not really them.  I was thinking something that represents where they started and shows how far they have come.  Something like From Gilman to the Rock Hall, only in pictures.  I keep thinking of the collage of pictures they flashed at the rock hall ceremony while they were performing, something like that.  Similar to the cover of Revolver.

Generally, I like Warning cover, it's very spontaneous and unassuming. I'm a fan since 2010 and the previous covers have arleady been obvious. I wasn't wondering whether I like it or not. Being a fan I can be picky about new artwork. In the first place, I don't wanna see a cover with tacky colors, something kinda darker and gloomy, yeh but it depends on music

Well a live cover would do well for the upcoming [alleged] world tour album.

I honestly think that Demolicious has their best album cover since Insomniac! It's sick!!! I really wish they go this way again for the next record if it demands for that kind of art.

American Idiot is such a simple one but with a hell of a concept behind it and I love it. Even the selfies on the trilogy work well on the concept.

I don't think they have ever put out a bad album cover. Maybe they could have done Warning's and 21CB's way better, but they're not bad.
