Hi guys, first time poster. Being an avid GD fan I recently came across this Green Day demo tape on ebay, which I purchased:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/GREEN-DAY-4-song-demo-tape-VG-/281890767867

I've been trying to find any additional information on it but haven't had any luck and was wondering if anyone here had seen or know of anything similar. I listened to the songs and they sound like the same songs from the "Dookie demos" I've heard. The seller's description simply states that the "cassette has been in storage for over 20 years" and when I contacted him to get more information, didn't hear anything back. Interestingly, the song "Burnout" is actually spelled "Burnt Out". So I'm not sure if it's a bootleg that somone made or if it is authentic in any way....

Hey there! Currently there are only 3 Dookie demo tapes circulating, which you'll have to listen to and compare- see which tape yours match with. You can download them here:

http://www.greendaycommunity.org/forum/144-other-stuff/

I can help you compare if you need. Feel free to message me. If you need it, I can also help you rip it to digital too.

If they are the same demos we already have, then it would be very difficult to authenticate. Not much is known about how these demos were compiled and who received copies. But if you have any other questions, I'd be happy to help!
