Possible Trilogy Compilation Ideas

If the title doesn't make my point clear, I've thought about how they could have shrunk the trilogy down to 1 single album and made it the best of the material that they had at that time. Would like your thoughts and I only have 3 things that I think you should follow and they are: 1. No less than 10 tracks but no more than 18 tracks. 2. What could be the title track. 3. Alterations to songs can be added/effects can be added e.g. Distortion.

My Idea would be:

1. 99 Revolutions (Demolicious ending, added distortion)

2. Fuck Time (FBHT version)

3. Stay The Night (Distortion after intro)

4. Let Yourself Go (Demolicious version, added distortion, longer solo)

5. Kill the DJ (Distortion throughout, Wah during solo)

6. Nuclear Family (Distortion added)

7. Oh Love (Distortion during chorus)

8. Missing You (Distortion added, clean lyrics)

9. Brutal Love (Distortion from first chorus)

10. X-Kid (Distortion added)

11. Rusty James (Demolicious version, distortion added)

12. Walk Away (No changes)

13. Dirty Rotten Bastards (Distortion added)

14. The Forgotten (Longer solo, distortion during solo)

I imagined that was the case since it was 3 years ago that the trilogy came out. Like some threads have been almost constantly duplicated because they die a few months before, get buried and then someone resurrects the thread by creating one of the same in a cycle.

Did we travel back in time to 2013?

Why would they shrink it to only 1 album though? All the songs are perfect they deserve its own album.

There's not enough good songs to make a EP...

You really are a funny bird. Just get your friends to keep quiet when the sun rises in the summer.

Since I can't find the other very similar thread I'll leave this one. Please don't just post lists of songs though (boring :P), make sure to write something about why you've picked them/why you would've made changes.

I'll never understand wishing they'd released less songs. Everyone has a different opinion of which are the best so it'd just mean most people would've missed out on hearing some of their favourites. As it is you get to hear more songs and can pick your favourites from a wider selection, that seems preferable to me.

Your wish is my command.  He did not say it was the best song he has ever written.  The exact quote is: "I listen to 99 Revolutions and think, it's one of the best songs I ever wrote."  There is a big difference between one of the best songs and THE best song.  He is talking a very big universe of songs, could be top 200 songs.

99 revolutions is the best song he ever wrote. No lie, only truth.

I hear you. The only thing wrong with it is the tracks that accompanied it. I don't know why it wasn't released as a single.

Yes, but it also has this.  The verses lyrics are quite good and timely.  It is not a bad song.  What I will admit is that it feels unfinished.  Where another politically themed song like Minority felt complete, there was a problem statement and a call to action.  This feels like it is just giving a problem statement.  It is almost as if he didn't quite finish it.

There's a trouble in the air
A rumble in the streets
A going out of business sale and a race to bankruptcy
It's not one to 99, it's 99 to one
A common cause and a call to arms for the health of our daughters
And our sons

There's a rat in the company
A bail out on easy street
How the fuck did the working stiff
Become so obsolete?
Hit the lights and bang the drum and let your flag unfold
'Cause history will prove itself in the hall of justice and lost souls

We live in troubled times
From the ghettos to an empty suburban home
We live in troubled times
And I'm 99 percent sure that something's wrong
It's all wrong

99 revolutions is a good song and he could think it's the best song he wrote (though he didn't say that) I think One of my lies is the best song he wrote, somebody else would not agree ,it goes like that. That song is so much like 86 ,  same drum start , repetitive chorus ..  I also read an article all about " 86 is a bad song" For me, they are both great .
