The Great Divide Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I've read that most guitar amps will work for the sound. I have it set at Bass: 5, Mid: 8, Treble: 10, Drive: 6. I've read those settings on a few sites and it seem to work, kind of an AI/21CB sound. I have a fender squier strat on a Line 6 Spider IV 30 amp. If you guys have any other suggestions, please let me know in the replies. Thanks
Steven Seagull Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 You won't get the same sound as Green Day out of your amp unless you use the exact same equipment as they do. It doesn't really matter what the setting are I have Bass 10, Mid 5, Treble 8, Drive 10 and it sounds good enough to me.
Jimmy Strummer Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Yeah, like Seagull said, the settings don't matter as much as the gear does. Even something as small as what kind of pickup your guitar has makes the biggest difference in your tone. Start yourself off by getting a good tube amp and a guitar with a P90 in the bridge position, and take it from there.
Travis. Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 A telecaster would also work good for 21st Century Breakdown
