FalcoLombardi Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Lost the link but I found this: Green Day lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong has again caused offence, this time flipping off paparazzi during his departure from U2's after party from Chateau, Marmont. This is not the first time the combustible singer has caused offence, he went on a drunken rampage at the I Heart Radio festival in 2012, determined to let the audience know that he was not Justin Bieber. This was the same year that the impish front man lied to the media, saying he had lost his voice when in fact he had overdosed on something questionable. Before that, Armstrong wished cancer upon now deceased Apple founder Steve Jobs in 2010 and again used alcohol as an excuse for his appalling comments. One has to wonder why Mr Armstrong feels the need to continually cause offence, as it is now coming across as contrived and an attempt to remain relevant in the punk scene. His behavior is a lot similar to John Lydon, except it doesn't have the same authentic feel. The world will be a much better place when people like Mr Armstrong remember that paparazzi are not second class citizens and treat them accordingly. What type of message does this send to the children who idolize him? It leaves a lot to be pondered, but for now, it seems that Armstrong is happy to keep offending people. Here's the video:
Amanda Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 If flipping off the paps is considered offensive some people need to get a grip. This article is truly scraping the barrel.
laurie_black Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Wtf, this article is a joke, right? And I didn't even see him flip off the paparazzi in the video.
Chin for a Day Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I didn't see him doing anything, other than he might not have been wearing his wedding ring again.
Mar Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Not giving a hit to the video: Did he go full Kanye? No? Then this "behavior" is like another day for these paps. It's kind of cute how you want to make this into a sign of some sort of meltdown, OP. It's like you're a regular poster on this site!
Chin for a Day Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Is anyone else starting to be reminded of a highway, a lost one?
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Is anyone else starting to be reminded of a highway, a lost one?I was starting to miss this.
FalcoLombardi Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Lol this article is utter trash It was written by an up and coming twitter journalist
Ritz Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 It was written by an up and coming twitter journalist Aaah, finally a sensible explanation for bullshit. xD
Guest Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I was wondering when people would start noticing my articles.

moonflower93 Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 LOL @ OP. the paparazzis are jerks normally, and if billie did the paparazzi deserve it.
Billie Hoe Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Love this I once read that some celebrities flip the paparazzis off because it makes the pictures absolutely useless. That they can't be sold to magazines etc. because there's a middle finger on it You go, Billie Joe. No sympathy for paparazzis
grene cniht Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Also, OP says he lost the link and then writes an 8-line paragraph. Now, either he has a very well trained memory or he likes collecting bullshit like this and writing it down. The third option's currently on the road, but it seems it got lost as soon as he enterd the highway. Big LOL @ FalcoLombardi P.S. You won't find anything like this if you search the first sentence of the "article" on google

You won't find anything like this if you search the first sentence of the "article" on google That's without a doubt the biggest bullshit-fail I've ever witnessed Edit: I didn't even bother to read the article after the first sentence, but now I did and holy shit, I wonder how stupid FalcoLombardi thinks we are? Do they really think that we believe this is a real article? This is a whole bunch of "I personally believe that Billie is an old fucker with a lot of insecurities who tries so hard to remain cool and relevant by acting like a drunk teenager and I'm so disappointed that my frail little heart can't handle it", there's no way this is an actual article FalcoLombardi, if you have issues with his behaviour please go ahead and share your opinion in the Unpopular Opinion thread (http://www.greendaycommunity.org/topic/96167-blasphemy-genocide-unpopular-green-day-opinions-part-2/) and don't try to disguise your opinion as somebody else's in order to avoid criticism. That's just beyond pathetic Or at least try harder next time
Guest Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 GDC's obvious troll spotting has vastly improved of late. This thread would have been a minor shitstorm even a year ago.
Billie Hoe Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Just want to pop in and say that it's common practice for celebrities to flip off the papparazzi because it decreases the value of the photo and makes it unpublishable in major celeb-spotting magazines like People, Us Weekly, etc. So I'm right, good to know
