CreatureQuake Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Here's the place to discuss where Billie sung the best. Any show? Any particular song in any show? Any studio recorded song? (I'd prefer live over studio though, just wanna see where he sung his best). If anyone knows of a show/song where Billie Joe sang extremely well, leave it below(:
bollard_11 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Its a toss up between Dominated Love Slave or All by Myself, I cannot decide!!
Spike Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 The official live version of Last Night On Earth is perfection. In terms of studio recordings, Jesus Of Suburbia.
Sarcasm Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Everything after the musical, his vocals improved drastically in that period.
Chin for a Day Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 The official live version of Last Night On Earth is perfection. In terms of studio recordings, Jesus Of Suburbia. What is the official llive version of Last Night on Earth? Is that the one from Broadway, because that was stunning.
Spike Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 What is the official llive version of Last Night on Earth? Is that the one from Broadway, because that was stunning. Nope, but that was good. This one beats them all though. http://youtu.be/gKr3Ov5szbU
Hermione Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Anything on 21st CB, there was such a massive improvement in the quality and range of his voice on that album that it was actually quite weird and surprising to hear at first because it was so different. I think Restless Heart Syndrome showcases it best.
Grinch Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 2000 light years away live at goat island And BBC 1994 www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CrMafKO3Cg

Hermione Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I don't know why but whenever he changes a note like that it amuses me
Z J Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 3.14 - 3.20. That is all. shit that was my go to, I'll have to dig around. His voice throughout that song was just fantastic, total control over every note it felt like
Z J Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 His tone is so clean and different from his usual snarl, but it's incredible The first 2.15. Macy's Day Parade. Masterful. That wail tho, crazy power in his voice on Road To Acceptance. Billie's vocals, one of my favorite topics
Chin for a Day Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 His tone is so clean and different from his usual snarl, but it's incredible Billie's vocals, one of my favorite topics Allison was amazing, even Elvis looked impressed. One of my favorite topics too.
Bastard of 1969 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Not really "Dookie" era, please don't mention that. "YO YO YO YEEEEEEEEEEEH" is definitely not the top of his music career.
Todd Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 What I really enjoy listening to are older songs like Only of You or Stuck With Me played more recently. I like his voice on those
unextraordinarygirl Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 His singing on those Homecoming and JOS videos are amazing! I was blown away by them.
GugsGreenDay Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I think the tour AI and the 21stCB his voice live was better...
grendis Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Its a toss up between Dominated Love Slave or All by Myself, I cannot decide!! I don't know... Rockin' Roll Girlfriend is pretty amazing too.
21guns&novacaine Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 My favorite would be when they preformed 21 Guns at the Fox Theatre in 2009. The way he sung it is indescribable, but beautiful. Especially right before the final chorus, there's no instruments, no crowd in the background. Just him singing, I love it. Another favorite is Wake Me Up When September Ends from Bullet in a Bible.
