Maria_LovesGD Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 The tickets were sold out about 30 seconds after they went on sale. But, depending on how much you are willing to spend, you could get a ticket from a scalper. There are a bunch of people going. Look on the Idiot Meet up Thread. f**k, but anyway thank u! will try to get a ticket near the venue. have not so much money for a ticket, flight, visa and other stuff are expensive :-)

They have not announced when the tickets go on sale for that. It should be sometime this month.

rootbeersoup Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 We forgot to buy tickets. We'll have to remember to buy them again next year.
Haushinka! Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 MY BODY IS READY SO incredibly excited for you! I can't wait to see it...on TV.
That Dude Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Does anyone know the exact date that they changed the name from Sweet Children to Green Day? I keep seeing different years that Green Day formed and it's driving me nuts. I believe it to be between 1988 and 1990 but I want the exact date.

Heather. Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 1989 when they released 39/Smooth And based on things Larry Livermore has said, they asked him to change it just days or weeks before they printed the 1,000 Hours EP. Like he had already put Sweet Children on everything and they asked him to re-do it as Green Day, so it was a very close deadline thing.

April 7th 1989 they played in Davis as Sweet Children, and then their next known show was May 21st in Benicia as Green Day. 1000 Hours was released in April 1989. So they became Green Day sometime in April. No exact date is known 1989 when they released 39/Smooth I will not hesitate to put you back on my block list

WhiteTim Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Will this be televised? HBO runs a 3 1/2 hour version a few months after
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Will this be televised? I'll probably be live-tweeting it. That's close enough, right?
jumpsalty Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 We never had to wait months to see it before? Usually it's a day or two after
Chin for a Day Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 We never had to wait months to see it before? Usually it's a day or two after it's always been about a month later. HBO needs time to produce it.
DookieLukie Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I'll probably be live-tweeting it. That's close enough, right? I'd rather you enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience and not spend the whole event on your phone
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I'd rather you enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime experience and not spend the whole event on your phone Ha, I was kind of exaggerating. But kind of not. I'll probably tweet a decent amount, but I'll mostly take pictures and video to upload afterwards (since I'll be too shocked to process that it's actually happening).

Just remember to make your personal experience come first! This is such a special event. Don't watch it through a camera!
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Just remember to make your personal experience come first! This is such a special event. Don't watch it through a camera! Don't worry, I won't watch through a camera/phone. I've pretty much grown annoyed with all forms of social media, and I rarely, if ever, record at shows. I hate being that person who's more concerned with documenting the experience than living it. At the same time, I have the closest seats of anyone in my immediate friendship group, and I know I'll be sitting in a seat, so holding up a phone once in a while and still watching what's going on shouldn't be too difficult! Like I said, I just have to have proof I was actually there, because last time I saw Green Day (and the only time) my brain didn't even register what was happening until it was almost too late.

A recap, the next day would be fine for me. Well, maybe the induction speech can be word for word.
Mar Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 My phone's camera is a fixed lens and I'm all the way in the back of the auditorium, so I guess any updates I do will not be imaged-based

Give_Me_Novacaine90 Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction week to feature fireworks show, live music, Andrae Crouch tribute and more http://www.cleveland.com/music/index.ssf/2015/02/rock_and_roll_hall_of_fame_ind_5.html
Chin for a Day Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 OK, I know this is not GD related, but there is information starting to leak for other artists. Tommy Shannon, Jimmie Vaughn, Doyle Bramhall and Gary Clark Jr will definitely be playing with Double Trouble. They will be playing Texas Flood and Crossfire. I wonder if they are only getting two songs, or only decided on two songs. Hoping GD stuff starts to leak.
