jetsrule128 Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Well the Michael Mayer version of the musical ended last night . Here's video of the encore the cast did http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=InjV_RAQU4k
Sanity Loan Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 The person filming the Brain Stew video has the worst yell/scream I've ever heard. Unfortunately it makes the video unbearable to watch
TommyGun Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 unfortunately i never got a chance to see the musical live, fingers crossed that they start touring again and then not just US and Uk
jetsrule128 Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 Matt there's a better version on Facebook. What's your name I will send it to you and maybe you can figure out how to upload it here.
Steven Seagull Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I like how some of them play Epiphone guitars.
jetsrule128 Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 I put the brainstew video back the screaming doesn't bother me.
Spike Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I like how some of them play Epiphone guitars. Epiphones are awesome. It's always nice to see people use them.
Certified Nimrod Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I like how some of them play Epiphone guitars. What do you have against Epiphones?
Steven Seagull Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 What do you have against Epiphones? Nothing. I love Epiphones. They are like 2 or 3 times cheaper than Gibsons or Taylors but they have an amazing sound.
Certified Nimrod Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Nothing. I love Epiphones. They are like 2 or 3 times cheaper than Gibsons or Taylors but they have an amazing sound. Oh, sorry. I thought you were making fun of them.
BullwinkleCheech Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Epiphones are good guitars but quality wise, Squiers are far better guitars for a budget brand
Todd Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Matt there's a better version on Facebook. What's your name I will send it to you and maybe you can figure out how to upload it here. I'd love to see the better version! Can you just link it?
jetsrule128 Posted May 26, 2014 Author Posted May 26, 2014 It's on Facebook not sure how to get it here.
green day is Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 [Edit:] Turns out this one is from the last tour. I hadn't seen it before, though, so maybe some of you haven't either. Here's one.
Spike Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Epiphones are good guitars but quality wise, Squiers are far better guitars for a budget brand Debatable. If you wanna meet me in the guitar thread we can discuss this properly
green day is Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 That's from last years tour. My bad, I didn't even know they played it last tour.
Tubbie Head Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Oh didn't know it was the last of the last yesterday Never got to see it, so sad.
green day is Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Does that site where they used to upload all the performances of Good Riddance still exist? They used to put Green Day playing Basket Case and extra things Billie Joe would play, maybe they have these. I'm hopeful, at least.
DookieLukie Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Epiphones are good guitars but quality wise, Squiers are far better guitars for a budget brand I think Epiphones are miles ahead of Squiers. Never played a Squier that sounded anything other than synthetic sound.
green day is Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Never played a Squier that sounded anything other than synthetic sound. When was the last time you played one? The quality has vastly improved from just a few years back. Professionals use them now. Plus most of your sound comes from the amp anyway, so there's that.
Cori Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I was there last night. Brain Stew was incredible. The crowd got totally into it. People were singing along, clapping, and head banging, even if they didn't know the words. The cast really sold it well. It was pretty cool watching the band jam out, too. Evan, who'd been the keyboardist and conductor since the beginning of the second national tour, played a super cool solo on his keyboard. Some of the cast came down from the stage and ran through the audience, high-fiving the people on the aisles (which included me). I talked to the cast members afterwards and one of them said that playing Brain Stew helped them to get out the tears. It's a good thing, too, because some of the cast was crying during Good Riddance. It was definitely one of the most memorable shows I've been to. I also might mention that all of the cast members were incredibly nice people that enjoyed talking to the fans afterwards, something that, from my experience, seems somewhat rare. I hope the members of Green Day know what lovely, truly kind and enthusiastic individuals were representing and performing their music on the past couple tours. I don't know if that always comes across in the one or two shows per tour that they attend. I hope it does, though, because they really are all that.
