Jet Taman Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I thought this was an interesting and surprising list. I like reading reader's comments too.... https://music.yahoo.com/photos/famous-albums-you-ll-never-believe-didn-t-make-it-to-no-1-1399666263-slideshow/
wood Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 "Dookie" and "The Doors" not being number ones were the most mindblowing for me. How is that even possible?
lizziebix Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 The comments are hysterical. But one mentions that many great albums never made it to #1, sold a ton and are still relevant. Guess that's the better definition of an album.
Todd Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Wow. Pyromania, 1984, and LZIV ... Glad Dookie was included among these grand albums
jetpackblues Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 The caption for "The Doors" was hilarious, "blame it on The Beatles, what didn't they hog"
Eva Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I feel personally offended that The Doors never made it to number one.
Spike Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 One day people might learn that chart positions =\= good music.
Hermione Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Cool to see them included among so many greats! I don't think it's really ever that surprising when a rock album doesn't get to number one though, it's never been a type of music that's dominated the charts as even when it's particularly popular at a certain time pop music still usually beats it.
