Akshat Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/showbiz/listen-one-direction-bogota-soundcheck-green-day-setlist/ They performed the song in their soundcheck. P.S- That Niall guy said at 2012 VMAs that they're huge Green Day fans if you remember. Not news worthy but still...
Afflejack Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Except I heard literally NO WMUWSE and only heard their song Don't Forget Where You Belong. I think people are jumping the gun way too quickly with this tbh.

Guest Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Maybe this will get Green Day tons of new fans, they'll actually use quality control. stick out a decent album next time, and they might be a relevant band again. Or maybe this will be the worst thing since before sliced bread was invented and everyone just had to use a knife. How barbaric.
Afflejack Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 i can't hear anything besides girls screaming it's at least a min in. when the song starts they scream then start singing along so.
Sarcasm Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 People care too much. Oh no, is the band that have barely done anything noteworthy except getting thrown out of iHeart in the last 10 years getting exposure?! Oh, the humanity!
Hermione Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Lol @ people freaking out over people complaining when no one's even complained yet
Anaïs. Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Lol @ people freaking out over people complaining when no one's even complained yet Oh god, Please don't make this happen. Harbinger of things to come. Besides, you know this forum.
Craftsman1325 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Harbinger of things to come. Besides, you know this forum. I just don't like the fact that One Direction (A band that every teenage girl is obsessed with) covering a Green Day song. Fuck me right?
Steven Seagull Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I just don't like the fact that One Direction (A band that every teenage girl is obsessed with) covering a Green Day song. Fuck me right? And people who listen Green Day are 50 year old grandmas with specific music taste?
Craftsman1325 Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 And people who listen Green Day are 50 year old grandmas with specific music taste? No, Green Day and One Direction are different genres, and usually, people who like Pop generally don't like rock and vice versa.
Afflejack Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 No, Green Day and One Direction are different genres, and usually, people who like Pop generally don't like rock and vice versa. Generally, people who like rock are more bitter about their precious music being tampered with. You don't see anyone who likes pop music getting butthurt over someone covering one of their songs.

If a big band covers a another bands song, it doesn't matter what genre it is, it depends on the original band members if they like it or not, it has nothing to do with what genre the song is.
