Todd Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Do you know what the pen is for? winding up the tape, duh. I wasn't born yesterday. I had and have cassettes
Tubbie Head Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Maybe they seletected the demos based off how different they are from the finished songs Maybe the demos of Brutal Love isnt that much different I really hope that this was the method they used to choose which demos they wanted to release!
mikedeerte Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I will just have to buy one of every color on ebay. I can't be more excited to hear the demos! i hope it means that we're a step closer to a new album too
BCap Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 i hope it means that we're a step closer to a new album too I kinda doubt it - they said that they're taking a break from Green Day for a little bit. Maybe we'll get some Network or FBHT stuff, though (the latter being more likely since they are doing some shows soon).
Schlappy Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Demolicious sounds like the name of a sassy gay pyromaniac
BCap Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Demolicious sounds like the name of a sassy gay pyromaniac Now that you mention it, that could very well be intentional! After all, this IS the band that put out a song about the glories of Klingering it.
Sanity Loan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I will just have to buy one of every color on ebay. I can't be more excited to hear the demos! i hope it means that we're a step closer to a new album too What connection is there between demos of already released songs, recorded in 2011 and 2012 and a new album?
IcyMoffatt Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I would have prefer to have demos from song that weren't included in the trilogy. This LP almost looks like a «Best Of» cd, but with demos instead. It's like giving a second chance to the trilogy. Anyway, it would still be interesting to hear those demos.
scwk0511 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Stopped by my local *tiny* record shop today to ask about RSD. They do participate, but are only able to order the week before the actual day, then no matter how many copies they rder, they very rarely get more than 3 of anything....so queueing up on the day looks like the way to go.
Laura! Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 The record store in my town is doing it by popularity. They are going to order the most asked about records. So, I guess I'm going to continuously ask about Demolicious.
Ryan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Dude, ever heard of sarcasm? Yes, he is a great mod! Then I will just have to endure it. Hi, how are you? Cheer up!
Ross_19 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Can't wait for State Of Shock! Which Trilogy album was it originally going to be on?
Karl Karlson Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Can't wait for State Of Shock! Which Trilogy album was it originally going to be on? It was on the "Uno" side on the big board, but they switched a lot of songs, so we can't know for sure
Certified Nimrod Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Can't wait for State Of Shock! Which Trilogy album was it originally going to be on? Uno EDIT: Dagnabit, Koal Koalson.

desertrose Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Warner Brothers Press Release https://wbr.app.box.com/RSD2014
Certified Nimrod Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Notice that the press release says "Now for the 1st time, own this special edition compilation compilation..." It doesn't say the only time or anything. I'll think we'll definitely see a digital release in the future.
BCap Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Warner Brothers Press Release https://wbr.app.box.com/RSD2014 How'd you manage to find this? On a related note: how do you find press releases, anyway (assuming one is not a member of the press)? Also, I called two of my nearby record stores today (one of which I've been to many times before after or even between classes). The one near my school said that they have no idea about what they'll be ordering (although they said they will NOT be getting Demolicious on cassette), and have no idea about prices (although they were nice about it). The second store said that they'll be ordering copies of Demolicious on cassette and vinyl, but NOT CD. They estimated that the prices should be about $8 for the cassette and $30 for vinyl. Do we have regional sections of the forum? If so, I can post my findings there (Maryland, born and raised).

BCap Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Like, for Green Day fans from specific areas - Maryland Green Day fans, New York Green Day fans, U.K., Russia, Mars, Ganymede, etc.

Fuzz Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 SON OF A WHORE! We need a section like that! We have some clubs for different parts of the world (mid US being one of them), but that's about as specific as we get because they wouldn't get much traction otherwise.
