tomyflashy Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Hey guys! You probably saw what they played yesterday. Here's the link: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/green-day/2014/rna-showgrounds-brisbane-australia-13c5512d.html Before they start the show they usually play 2 songs. You know those song if you went to one of their shows.. Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and The Ramones's Blitzkrieg Bop. But they played another one yesterday in Brisbane. ''Stayin Alive'' from the BeeGees. Am I the only one to think that if they aired this song, it's for a Reason? Did you ever imagine a link between Green Day and the Beegees? I don't think so. Me neither. From my humble point of view, this song's a message. They're gonna go on a fucking fucking long HIATUS. They're always a message behind each Green Day act. Tell me what you think of that. I'm not a Psychopath. Cheers from France !
Fuzz Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 How did you get from "stayin alive" to "take a fucking long hiatus"? That's quite the stretch.
Anaïs. Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 From my humble point of view, this song's a message. They're gonna go on a fucking fucking long HIATUS. They're always a message behind each Green Day act. Tell me what you think of that. No. The hiatus I think is likely. But a hidden message in their opening song? What on earth? On the bright side of things, THEY PLAYED EAST JESUS NOWHERE AGAIN OH MY GOD :runaround:
Spike Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 They like having songs before they come on that will get the crowd going. It's as simple as that. They didn't choose Bohemian Rhapsody because they're planning on murdering someone and confessing to their mothers, did they? I don't think so. Me neither. How many people are you?
Mykee Mexx Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 If it was a message, than that they are still there and alive after all the mess with rehabs and stuff.
tomyflashy Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 I know i'm fucking crazy and I'm sorry bout' that guys. By ''Stayin Alive'' I mean, ''We're going on a hiatus, but we're Stayin Alive''. D'you know what I mean?
Sanity Loan Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 It doesn't mean anything. But by chance it does, it means the opposite of a long hiatus. It means literally we are "staying alive" as Green Day and not breaking up, as many media outlets speculated after they twisted BJA's words.
tomyflashy Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 I don't mean breaking up, I mean Having a pause, just like 3-4 years, to calm down about the last two years

I'm not a Psychopath. Cheers from France ! Bonjour, I think Green Day is genetically unable to produce nothing during a long time. See the Network and FBHT, plus they have begun to work on the trilogy in 2009/2010... Green Day will be back, imo in 3 or 4 years.... But they will come louder than ever (omg, seems like the title of a Kerrang cover). Anyway, if there's a hiatus, of course our life will be, a hiatus too, but there are still the records and Youtube for the lives. I work this way since 5-6 years, and it's almost okay.
tomyflashy Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 Bonjour ma belle! J'suis d'accord avec toi
Katarina. Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 They're Sherlock fans, clearly.I'm not a Psychopath.
Sibyline Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I have seen some weird speculation threads in my time, but this takes the cake (and snorts the sprinkles).
tomyflashy Posted February 22, 2014 Author Posted February 22, 2014 I am no Sherlock fan, though I like Martin Freeman...

Jean Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Maybe it's a hint that Billie will be starring in a Saturday Night Fever remake.
Backyard Skulls Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 Why do green day fans jump to mad conclusions about everything little thing?? Like in the instagram thread I think tre put something about ai up and people were like 'omg they're gonna play it again!!!!!' I thought the pokemon fandom was bad for crazy theories about everything but ffs

Turk Turkleton Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 Talk about making something out of nothing. What will happen next? I know. Billie will cough on stage and everyone will say he has lung cancer. That gif just had to be pulled out
