The last time I did that I was a total production snob, which I'm not anymore (believe it or not), and this time I was absolutely stunned by the overall quality of the album.

I like records that are well produced, don't get me wrong. And I will listen to shit songs if the production is good. But it works both ways, in that if a song is good I won't let the production get in the way. Some of my favourite songs sound like they're being played through a biscuit tin.
