also what key combo makes your post post? I accidentally hit enter and some other key and it posted mid-sentence but now I can't find what combo that was :(

I believe it's tab then enter.

He's just fighting the good fight. Sacrificing it all to stand up for his free speech.

This is a private, international Internet forum. The First Amendment likely doesn't apply...

The cast version of 21 Guns is better than the original..

I like the version with Billie and the cast better than either of them. Shorter, better harmonies... very good.

Well technically wherever the site is physically based is where the rules apply. Every internet site is international (pretty much). Plus I was only joking. And are you saying that the First Amendment is dumb or something?

Oh no wait that just did preview post :(

Really? I think that's the version I like the least. His voice and singing style just doesn't really fit with the rest of the voices being really musical.

Maybe tab twice and then enter? I can't think of anything else :P

I've never listened to them to be honest but i just googled it so i probably will sooner or later

Green Day has covered them a bunch, their studio version of My Generation and A Quick One, and also playing The Kids Are Alright and Won't Get Fooled Again in full in 04 and 05, and also playing Baba o'Riley in their rock medleys in 09-10. They have a bunch of hits, just look up their discography on wikipedia, and give a listen to their top-charting singles.

That Rock and Roll Circus version was playing on the hospital TV when my grandmother was passing. Not during the death but during the time we spent in the hospital. That and a Rolling Stones performance. So A Quick One has a huge emotional tie to myself. It's also one of my favorite songs of all time.

The 2012 summer olympics has the same emotional tie to me :P

That's also my favorite ... to the point where when I listen to the musical version, I freak out when it isn't Billie

Private Ale is a great song, and it's a shame it was barely ever played live

I just love listening to it for when they like talk at the end and stuff it's cute as specially the song where Tre's all like "Let's do it again" in the weird cute Tre-e voice he has

Why is it wrong. Isn't it all what you trilogy haters want. ;)

I enjoyed it too.

Yeah how dare you not give in to the GDC pressure to hate this Trilogy.

And are you saying that the First Amendment is dumb or something?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Yes, as a newspaper reporter, I clearly dislike the First Amendment. :P

Doesn't the First Amendment benefit journalists?

Lol I don't think it has much to do with the pressure. In fact you would all have to pressure most people to actually LIKE the trilogy and even then I don't think it'd have many followers.

Honestly I totally get where you're coming from. Minus Little Boy Named Train and Makeout Party (and to a lesser extent Carpe Diem and Let Yourself Go) I think its an awesome album. But I really really wish Wild One and 8th Avenue Serenade were on it too, especially Wild One cause its one of my absolute favorites from the trilogy and I think the raw sound would have sounded amazing. And even though I'm not a huge fan I would have loved to hear Dirty Rotten Bastards maybe broken up into parts or with the alternate lyrics from Cuatro. The only thing that I really wish was on there though was the original lyrics of Stray Heart when he says "Without a home" instead of "we're not alone". I loved that line so much better and I think it had a big impact on the song and its meaning. And while I think Let Yourself Go is a bland generic song I'm so fucking glad the Bridge is actually worthwhile on Demolicious, I actually really like the lyrics to it. Cause seriously what fucking excuse could Billie possibly have for the original bridge? I hate it.

All in all though Demolicious made me appreciate and like the trilogy much more than I did, it just sounds like they had so much fun.

Hm let's see...

Nope. But thanks for your help!

I did find out that shift+tab+enter takes you to a help section I've never seen before so that's nice :P
