DookieLukie Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Yeah I say we leave it there, I see where this is going... Another ban? Btw...you said the 19th of May. Guess I got off early, which I deserved since I got reported for making a fake account, which I have no idea about. Nah, that's more like "Longview". EDIT: sorry Tom, didn't see the above post. I will take that as you implying I am well-endowed. Quote

Guess I got off early, which I deserved since I got reported for making a fake account, which I have no idea about. I'm looking into your warn being lifted early now. As for the fake account, IP addresses and new members signing up and immediately trolling just after someone's been suspended count for a lot. Quote

Popular Post AlissaGoesRAWR Posted April 29, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2014 Ok guys, green days not a perfect band but they got to expand their music to keep on keepin on! Yes their trilogy is not their 1990's punk music it used to be. Their still doing well as a band and unless your as successful as them i would say dont judge them! Its ridiculous guys, to judge a famous band whos still makin good music, its not their best but you all love green day so stop hatin on em so much! Peace! Who turned on the April Fool's Day spelling filter? 5 Quote
Popular Post Hermione Posted April 29, 2014 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2014 Seems to be an unpopular opinion in this thread but I find stating your opinion on an album as if it's a fact and talking down to those who disagree about it as if your taste in albums is objectively superior so they have to justify their inferior taste to be quite arrogant and unnecessary. And yeah, Green Day isn't famous and unpopular bands sell out 70,000 seat stadiums If you have to force yourself to listen to something you can't think it's that good in the first place. When I first heard their early stuff it was kind of like that for me because I'd never listened to rough sounding recordings like that of any band. So it was quite a shock having been used to top quality recordings from them and I had to get used to that sound so that I could actually appreciate the songs instead of just noticing the rough finish of them. Doesn't take long though and worth doing! 8 Quote

DookieLukie Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 It's an outrageous claim to say that Green Day isn't famous. They might not be popular now, but Green Day has already built a huge reputation and fame. Everyone knows who Green Day is. 3 Quote
Spike Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Everyone knows who Green Day is. Yep. Karl Marx was a massive Green Day fan. But yeah, to say they're not famous anymore is ridiculous, but I suspect troll mode was fully engaged. 2 Quote

Spike Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Tom, we were just working with the shit we were given. It's not the comics' fault that the material they get sucks You have the entirety of NimrodJimrod's back catalogue to work with and you couldn't use your imagination just once? 2 Quote

Spike Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 I like Carpe Diem I like the demo version a lot. The difference the guitar tone and Mike's vocals make is enormous. 1 Quote
The Disappearing Boy Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 It's amazing just how much Mikes vocals transform the sound of that song. Though it's still a pretty poor song. 2 Quote
Pat1308 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I like the demo version a lot. The difference the guitar tone and Mike's vocals make is enormous. I really admit the Demo version is really growing on me. The first time I heard that I thought the fancy guitar was a little unnecessary, but on second thought, maybe the version on Uno was too stripped-down. Oh, and about State of Shock again: I think that song really proves that Billie tends to be better singing about himself and his personal problems or opinions. I don't know, "I'm going into a state of shock" or "I'm too tired to be bored, I'm too bored to be tired" just strikes me as being more (I don't know the right word to use here) 'authentic' than "Wanna be your troublemaker" or "Someone kill the DJ." 3 Quote
