Z J Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Man just watched a couple songs from the shows in Australia and I notice a few things: 1.) Billie's voice is fantastic, better than any of the shows I've seen since 2011. 2.) He is putting EVERYTHING he has in to these songs (especially Brutal Love). 3.) Billie is fat Idk what they plan to do next (if anything), but I know that they are definitely back at the top of their game performance wise. If they decided they wanted to pull their act together writing wise and appearance wise, they could definitely pull off something very very good. No doubt in my mind. The real question is whether they want to, its no longer whether they can in my mind. 3 Quote

Fingers crossed it's a semi-regular part of their setlist again. 1 Quote
JOE THE X-KID Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Definitely. Makes it come alive. you know there's a much better full HD version right? Quote
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 you know there's a much better full HD version right? Yeah, I've seen it somewhere. might even have it. that was just the first one I could see on youtube. 1 Quote
Spike Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 I still think Basket Case from Reading '04 is one of the best performances of an individual song in Green Day's career I have to agree. The version on BIAB is absolutely shit in comparison, it's crazy. Quote
The Disappearing Boy Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Talking of Soundwave, I feel like a bad fan for not having bothered to watch any of the videos! Were there any pro shoots? Quote

I haven't watched any either, or found any pro shoots. But omfg I just stumbled across this of Billie doing Kiss Me Deadly before WMUWSE. It's just like the old days 3 Quote

DirtyRottenForgotten Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Another State Of Mind is an amazing song and I don't understand why it was just a bonus track and not actually on 21st Century Breakdown. It is such a frequently overlooked song but everything about it is amazing. Quote

AlissaGoesRAWR Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 You were 21, you lying sack of shit! But as for the merch, maybe they won't put out misspelled shit next time around, like your shirt that was so cringe-worthy to me. Oh, and I thought it was bad that the bootleggers outside 99 Revs were still calling it the Uno, Dos, Tre Tour (but really, the white shirt from the 99 Revs Tour spelled Uncasville, Connecticut wrong. I fucking cringed and iirc it was the only shirt left in Alissa's size so she was stuck with that one). And the prices were RIDIC. I know that merch, particularly merch sold at concerts, is expensive, but $40 was a new low (or high) for taking advantage of sentimental fans, especially when there were so many official shirts being sold at places like Hot Topic, Walmart, etc. I guess I don't know when my own birthday is. Oop. Honestly, after 21, they're all starting to blur together... because they don't really matter anymore. Most days I forget if I'm 23 yet. Yeah, the only decent-looking shirt was the white one. I wanted the black one Laura got, but they didn't have smalls... Oh well. I've grown partial to the white one, despite it's grammatical incorrectness. It has character! It's shitty, just like most of the trilogy, but I still love both, so it's an accurate representation! And yeah, I would have probably spent up to $75 or so without thinking for that fucking shirt. I'm ashamed. Quote

Popular Post Spike Posted March 25, 2014 Author Popular Post Posted March 25, 2014 Is it just me, or does something good happen whenever Billie puts on some weight? Hmmm... Yeah, it means he no longer has the energy to lift his guitar up and subsequently smash it while going on meaningless, irrelevant tirades about Justin Bieber. 6 Quote
