Maybe it’s because I’m older now and no longer strung out on confusion about how I work. Coming Clean feels anxious and unsettled about it, Bobby Sox feels secure and sweet. 

100% agree with this! I never thought about it, like I classed them both as queer songs I suppose, but never stopped to think of the different life eras they each represent. Thank you!

Green Day was an accepted pop-punk machine well before releasing American Idiot, but this record and the subsequent stage play that followed turned Billie Joe and Co. into mainstream giants. It's the band's most mature work, attacking a questionable U.S. government and calling out the overall dysfunction of the country. Fuelled by the title track, “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” Holiday,” and “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” the album sold 16 million copies and won the Grammy for Best Rock Album.

i really want to see Green Day again when they have a show even if its just a festival. But I got attacked verbally by some fan when I had gone to the Rockville show earlier in May and the same fan attacked me in chicago during riot fest. I am a lurker on GDC, i finally caved in and made an account here. what do you guys do? this fan has harrassed me since may i have not even seen him before this. this is his instagram i only have his instagram because the second time i swe him at riot fest he threatened to "beat my a..**" 

i got tagged in some photos with a couple friends who gone with me and this guy found it as my friend she posted the location and riotfest and chicago hashtags. I don't know what to do. i feel so unsafe even with friends going to shows. this guys instagram profile is called   angeltortured_cosplay have any of you encountered the bullying before?

 

he said his name is angel dean the first time i saw him in may. In may what set him off was i asked some guy "can you please hold my spot?" so that i could do a quick walk over to grab food as i had been waiting since 7:30am and it was now about 10am i wanted a snack before gates opened and i was with one friend and he wanted barricade. I'm just thinking if Green Day did a one off show later this year like i know they won't tour right away coming off the Saviors 2 year tour. that i just don't feel safe even with friends. this angel dean guy even said he would bite "the sh*t out of the guy in rockville holding my place while i ran to get food." ? I was only gone less than 20 mins too.

angel dean claims to be "close and personal friends with Billie and Tre" and said "me Billie and Tre text all the time and we hang out" what??? and he claims to hate Mike he came up to me at riot fest saying "Mike is sh*t" how can you be a fan and say that? 
 

I'm only asking this now vs back in september or may when it first happened because angeltortured_cosplay on instagram sent me multiple Dm's saying im not allowed to go to shows and that he's texted Billie and Tre about me. this dude is 29 why is he acting like hes 13??? I'm 20. I don't even feelsafe in this fandom

Hi guys...

today there was this bug with a broken leg jumping around in me and my friends classroom. Basically we were asking the bug questions like

"Jump if you like green day" then it jumps

"Jump if you like billie joe armstrong " then it jumps

and then the tragic bit 😭 "jump if youd make out with billie joe". And it just fucking dies on the spot. It died. As soon as i asked the question.

Yeah that is true. I've already been learning a few green day songs myself, but i dont actually have the time to do that this week, my band lets me kind of escape from that :')

The problem is that i need to practice ANOTHER song for some music showcase i have on sunday... because i never properly learned it

WTAF? None of this makes sense. Did no one in the queue stick up fer you? I've been in loads of GD queues and people save spaces so they can go to the toilet, grab snacks etc all the time. 

Why did you ask some guy to hold your spot and not the friend you were with though? Just asking for clarification, not saying your deserved any of this shite

I guess i should worship The Joe every year! I don't think my parents would be verryy pleased with that though... 

My band? Ough... it's very new, it doesn't have a name right now. We all kinda hooked onto the name "dementia" so we can forget everything we do and get away with it but we don't know if we should keep that lol

That's a pretty cool name! I wouldn't worry too much about getting a name right away. My old band didn't have a name for a very very very long time . We all decided on Out of Order for ours, but then we broke up lol.

Been getting into physical media again and was looking for albums by my favorite artists that I don't have.   The Longshot.  Love is for Losers.   Just ordered it.

Wooow, I see how it is . I'm kidding, I'm glad my band broke up to be honest. The friends I had in it were definitely toxic. Then we formed a reincarnation of Out of Order called Garbage Babes, just without the original drummer, and the lead guitarist was now the drummer. (Don't ask about the band name, I hated it, but my drummer was not going to give it up. It was my band, so shouldn't I choose the band name??? Or at least be able to make ideas without immediately being put down? ugh). We were going to change it to Cemetery Brides, which I loved a ton better, but then we broke up again. Our band was a Riot Grrrl Band.

Anyways, that was a funny comment . Don't worship too hard though.... you don't wanna know what will happen.

I worshipped too hard yesterday. Billie came out of the poster and dragged me into billieland until i begged and pleaded to escape. It costed me 500 trillion billiebucks to leave. Do you know how much that even is!?!?

Oh no!! As a fangirl, I wouldn't mind being stuck in Billieland. I once worshipped too hard; he came out of the poster, but all I had to do was show him a picture of Trump. He was utterly disgusted. He never came back after that

I'm really sad that this isn't available on cd. Never really got into vinyl. I could buy a digital version and diy the physical part though.
