Popular Post The Grohl Posted January 7 Popular Post Posted January 7 My favorite misheard lyric is from Ashley. Instead of hearing "are you crying on my cold shoulder" I heard "are you crying on Michael Jordan" 😂 1 6 Quote
Popular Post sergiewoo Posted January 9 Popular Post Posted January 9 does this count...? (sorry to break the misheard lyric chain. continue it if you want over me) i love and hate how conflicting my music taste is now. im into three bands mainly at the moment. green day (duh), silverchair, and korn. and recently i've been liking heavier songs in general. so i was gonna play chi by korn once i finished an update with my music player, but then i accidentally put on a heavy-ish green day song and then i went "yeah no fuck korn". like no serge you just wanted to play them for a change green day is all that lives with me now i guess. including a bit of silverchair, but it's mainly green day. jesus... 5 1 Quote

Popular Post solongfromthestars Posted January 9 Popular Post Posted January 9 I’ve always heard ‘I blame the fool whose stable smells so bad’ in Words I Might Have Ate and I realised I don’t even know what the real lyric is. It’s ‘I blame the fool whose stable soul’s gone bad.’ Kind of disappointed it's not as far off as I thought. 5 Quote

Popular Post Psycho Britney Posted January 9 Popular Post Posted January 9 A great misheard lyric courtesy of my sister and nephew: "Coffee and cyanide for llamas in disgrace"!🤣 She asked me one day, what did the llamas ever do to Billie? I was like what?! She then explained how they had misheard the lyrics in 1981 and had to Google them. I now sing llamas instead of lovers because once you hear it, you can't unhear it! You're all welcome!😉😅 10 Quote
Popular Post jakdokinori Posted January 10 Popular Post Posted January 10 Another misheard lyric courtesy of my dad. He thought the 'woahhh-oh Christian's Inferno' during the chorus was 'woahhh-oh big shit inferno'. The worst thing is I can hear it now 😂 7 Quote

This is what happened to me 30 years ago. Once the GD sound touches you, it surrounds you, enters you and flows through your veins. Other bands just can't come close. There's no escape, resistance is futile. It's a commitment for life 'till the end of time. You so lucky. Just enjoy. And if I may say, I'm so happy for you and proud of you. 3 2 Quote

Yeah, near the beginning, I strictly listened to Green Day because I was OBSESSED with them when I first heard them. They opened doors to so many more bands to be though. So nowadays I listen to soooo many bands. I am listening to a lot of Silverstein, Slipknot, Bullet For My Valentine, Trivium, and As I Lay Dying atm. If anyone else is into metalcore on here, please let me know because as far as I know, I am like the only one Btw, great picks, @sergiewoo. 3 1 Quote

My obsession is still very much here!😆 It’s a bit different when live shows are concerned. I love live music and go to shows of many bands (mostly punk, also „smaller“ bands). But when listening to music at home I always return to GD very quickly. It’s a kind of addiction… And the fandom‘s enthusiasm fuels that addiction (looking at you @Dingle 😉). But I love that and would never want to change it. It makes me happy.😊 5 1 Quote

Callmegameface Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago i lost too much sleep debating my top three Billie years 😅 i think i finally came down to 1st place 2009 21st CB tour, 2nd 1993 Billie specifically recording dookie with the longer hair and then 3rd 2013 right after rehab gives me dad/uncle vibes lol id love to hear yours! 1 2 1 Quote

Rather lose sleep over a thought like that than something negative. 😄 My first place would also be the 21st CB Billie, as in the 21st CB video! Second place would be the classical American Idiot Billie; the level of iconicness is umatched. Third place for me would be the trilogy Billie, mostly because "¡Tre!" Has been my favorite album for years and I really enjoy the trilogy-aesthetic. :'D 3 2 Quote

What an amazing question, but so so difficult to answer. There's so many times to choose from, this band's live shows and Billie Joe's songwriting has been so consistent and awesome over past 30+ years. First has to be when I fell in love with GD through Kerplunk and seeing them live for first time at Wigan in Dec' '91. Of the many live shows I've been to, two I'll never forget, 21st Century Breakdown tour at Wembley Stadium and AI tour at Milton Keynes. 2= 4 2 Quote
jengd Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago @Dingle I have such envy for those who saw them anywhere during AI…but Milton Keynes… fabulous, lucky you. Favourite era, got to be 21CBD (anyone who visits the fangirl thread will know I just adore that era when Billie wore the stiped pants 🔥🔥🔥) and AI which I can’t choose one over the other. Going with Saviors too as it’s been a great tour , Billie is aging better than fine wine and it’s been great to see them all looking well and loving the tour. 1 3 Quote
