Ugh, I can only hope. Missed out on the first one. I think something about it not being a Green Day project took the pressure off him and he just got to write the music he wanted. It’s pure in that way. I remember it being really well received too.

Green Day have had 11 days off from touring.   Where is album 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20????????????????????  Haha

Actually, I do need a break from listening to them for a bit.   Been detouring with Weezer, Good Charlotte, Durry, Viagra Boys, Ozzy, Foo Fighters, After Midnight Project and about 20,000 other artists.

And seriously, let’s talk about your most played songs. “Smash It Like Belushi” followed by a repeat parade of every other Green Day song is pure dedication to mediocrity. You’ve got so many Green Day bangers stuffed in there, you’re one song away from being declared their unofficial fan club president. Newsflash: you can listen to other bands! The world doesn’t end at “Wake Me Up When September Ends,” and no, “Corvette Summer” is not a new personal anthem — it just means it’s time for you to get out more. Maybe try some actual diversity in your playlist before you become a walking, talking Green Day tribute act.

Literally typing in gibberish into Spotify to discover music and found this.   They do Rancid, Bad Religion, and I'm digging to see if they've done Green Day.  Not sure why I'm sharing the song that The Network covered because that's the furthest from Green Day possible but hey.    The first some that caught my ear was a RADIO RADIO parody.

this is such a stupid obscure memory, literally not sure if anyone else remembers this, but i remember on ebay, the acoustic guitar that was used for the intro of FOD somehow made its way onto ebay and was auctioning for $15k or smth. this was like around 2020 i think.

wonder what happened to it? anyone else remember? just me?

I was in the car yesterday listening to Lithium on Sirius and they played a little radio bump from Billie! He was talking about they wanted to broaden their sound on Nimrod and then they played Redundant. I was so excited! I squealed HI BILLIE 😆 my bf asked where Mike "Durst" was 😮‍💨

Lithium is my FAV SiriusXM channel ever, haha. I practically live on that channel. They played Nice Guys Finish Last just a few weeks ago, and I was, of course, excited . They also played the Kerplunk version of Welcome to Paradise!

As well as being blown away listening to GD albums and the euphoria of attending live shows, there's those awesome sessions, GD live in the studio. So many to choose from.

My two favs are AOL sessions in New York 2004, visual jaw dropping performance of songs from AI, plus an amazing cover of The Who's "The Kids Are Alright." Not forgetting "Longview" an extended version of "Minority" and band interview at end. Electric.

But Imho, the BBC sessions, Maida Studios London, released 2021, including songs from 1994 to 2001 is outstanding. 16 songs on record, plus two not included for some reason, One of My Lies ( my all time fav GD song),  and Scattered. The booklet, that came with the record, described in such intimate detail, the recording session. You could almost feel you where there. What an awesome collection.

Your welcome. I've always felt that GD excell at covers, and they have done so many.

For me 'The Kids Are Alright" are in my top 3, along with "Another State of Mind" and "I Fought The Law". Heaven.

yknow i wonder if American Dream got killed due to it Losing to Now and Then
i know it didnt get instantly dropped after the Grammy's (played during the Australia leg and 2 festivals after the fact), but its absence since April is really shocking (especially since i thought it would be one of the stayers, alongside Dilemma and Bobby)

I googled "tiktok and taxes" to find a Green Day image, but instead got info on how to pay your taxes on your tiktok earning, with the headline "the dilemma of tiktokers"  

I think I have Green Day brain.   This bathroom stall I am in.   My friend talking about Rush.   Everything is tiktok.  I mean Green Day.

It is a crime that they are not on Spotify. I think I Fought The Law is now on Spotify, but idk about the other covers. YouTube will have to do for now :/.

iirc I Fought the Law is region locked on spotify and the others iirc are restricted to Apple Music (and obviously youtube uploads)

Oh. Sorry, I didn't know. In the US, I Fought The Law is on Spotify, along with other covers on YouTube.
