You can never tell with GD, they just can't stop. They just love to play and entertain us. May suddenly pop up somewhere with a surprise show or two.

Already in US two festivals in September, Riot Festival in Chicago, and Ohana Festival, Dana Point CA.

And of course there's always the Coverups.

As for new album, well. Maybe they're working on something special. Warning 25th perhaps ??? Due October.

Yes, the run of US festivals is quite extensive!  It does seem like GD have really enjoyed this tour/cycle. That's why a tiny part of me wondered if they would do some more shows next year before ending this cycle, but it's probably just wishful thinking on my behalf!

Warning 25 is a given, but i wonder if they're gonna say fuck it or not with including a certain concept that ended up getting "stolen" and that would later evolve into AI

I saw them at Riot Fest and it was amazing.  The first time I was in a mosh pit in a long time.  Can’t wait until they tour again.  I’m liking the new stuff so far.

They seem to be touring Europe. On June 18th I will see GD in Vienna, and my husband will go to Turnstile, also in Vienna…😅

Yesss! I saw them during the Glow On tour and again when they opened for blink-182. I'm waiting for them to announce a NEVER ENOUGH tour.

Also, this is soooo random, but how does everyone imagine the GDC? I imagine all of us sitting in a garage talking about Green Day, loll. There's a foosball table, a TV, and couches, and we are all just hanging out. When we are watching concerts together, we are all watching the TV and discussing it. Oh, and all of the fangirls sit in a circle, discussing Billie's floof.

We’re like the boxcar children hanging out in cool spots with no parents around! I don’t believe any here is an actual adult.

The fangirls thread takes place up in this really cool tree house where we hide our cigarettes and nudey mags and gamble and cuss and stuff!

Good job...I think.   Haha.  Yeah, GDC people and some Youtube people count toward real friendships in my head, even if I don't know their name, face, gender or anything.     An in person GDC though.....man.   There'd be waring tribes and the cops would probably show up a fair bit.   I've thought about starting a music discussion group in the real world - with music playing, maybe some raffles and an 'anything goes' style discussion.    

It can get a little confusing interacting with GDC people on other platforms and social media, because you might be kind of/sort of unclear on which user name goes with their other user name.

It sure is, and Warning (song) is Picture Book. They really got inspired by them

One of the first songs I learned to play was Picture Book. Was quite helpful when learning Warning!

And they don’t mention them as much as some of their other influences.  I feel like they pull more from the kinks than the artists they usually point out!  Same goes for the Buzzcocks!  “Everybody’s Happy Nowadays” has the same chords as the chorus as “Wake Me Up When September Ends”.  Love both songs.  Found out about the buzzcocks one from a Coldplay cover at the end of Shawn of the Dead!

Was in the little convenience store on my university campus this morning when Basket Case started playing. That isn't the kind of music that usually plays in there, so I told the girl at the cash register how much I love the song and how obsessed I am with Green Day, and she seemed to think that was awesome and said she picked some kind of Green Day radio playlist for the store that morning and then I told her that now I like her even more LOL.

BTW, I have been seeing this cashier for years and she is always really nice but I never asked her name or talked to her much, so I feel like now I probably should. Maybe I can make a new friend LOL.
