Never saw those videos!!
It's not even from Heart like an hand grenade.

It’s Roecker’s footage just shots he didn’t use. He has to have hours and hours of unused stuff

Watching this video bring me back to the old GD video teaser.
Remember when we were all excited about this tracklist in the Trilogy teaser :P

Cool vids! Billie looks about twelve (due to the newly cut hair and being next to Rob Cavallo) :P. It's always awesome to see them in the process of making songs, hope there's more.

I can remember him saying how much he had in the past, can't remember the amount but it was like hundreds of hours.

It's always great to see new stuff from American Idiot, thanks for sharing!

It will always upset the selection JR made for HLAHG. He spent 9 months with them and the result is very boring and predictable although I expected something else. I'd cut the performances and the acting bits and put more of their recording process, or writing process. Like I want to see more Billie singing in the booth, them fooling around, and funny stuff, as well as interviews like the one from the future

There was a ton of material to choose from and I feel like he kept the best parts. I love the documentary, but it could have been longer (what fan wouldn't enjoy 3 hours or so of GD?) Instead it feels incomplete to me. I actually prefer the video from Fuse.

Ok I complained enough. (It's just that I waited for it for too long, bought 2 dvds, signed the petition when there was one, hoped for years... just give me MORE GREEN DAY PLEASE!) 🙏

After my few first listens to Cancer Is The New Black, something about the melody really reminded me of something. As a lifelong Zelda fan, I realized it's very similar the beginning of the Fortune Teller's theme from A Link To The Past. Not exactly the same, but close enough that you can definitely hear similarities. Just thought that was neat and finally got around to sharing it here.

When played in the correct tune, I actually like when the band uses their more modern instruments for classic songs. Maybe it’s just coincidence, but I think it provides a more punchy sound.

Oohh I haven't heard the Longview one in a while! That sounds immaculate. Wouldn't it be awesome if every punk song in history was re-made with Billie Joe playing it on a Gibson Les Paul Jr.? 😋

This is probably one of my favorite eras to look at - 2002. 😄 Love seeing Billie's proto-American Idiot look- skinny red/white tie, all black-clothing, Les Paul Juniors. He's wearing his classic pants though. No skinny jeans, no eyeliner, & no AI songs!

The Images won't upload from the URLs, so I'll just share links to cool photos:

The Woodstock '94 outfit is also interesting to look at

I don't know what that sound is that Billie makes at the beginning of Longview, but it is the best thing I have ever heard in my entire life and Billie can make that sound for me anytime he wants.

When we were watching the MTV Seville show yesterday my parents thought that Minority sounds Irish. Secondly this came up as a recommended video for me on YouTube yesterday:

This is the best performance of Letterbomb ever.

It has everything.

Jason's enjoying himself

Mike remembered to sing into the microphone

Terrible audience, but Billie made it work

The epic ending

Nothing could ever top this.

I recall he said that he'd do two hours per song if wasn't for Warner. Same thing for studio versions over live footage.

Pretty much applies for Disease is punishment as well.

Anyone who says Billie looks 20 something is lying to themselves. He looks 40 at the youngest.

The one who looks the youngest is Tre. He looks 36 and 56 at the same time.

Don't even get me started on Mike. He ages a million years and then de-ages. It's odd.

We all know Billie is the fountain of youth. He still looks the youngest. Mike has looked like he's been in his 40s forever and Tre...I mean Tre looks the same I guess.
