Popular Post Spike Posted July 5, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 5, 2015 I've started playing the very start of Jinx where Tre shouts "1, 2, 3, 4" at my dog to shut him up when he's barking. He just stops dead and looks at me utterly baffled, every single time. 5 Quote
Todd Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 If Angel Blue had better lyrics, it could actually be a pretty good song Quote
Libertine Angel Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 If Angel Blue had better lyrics, it could actually be a pretty good song I think Angel Blue is one of the better Trilogy songs, at least. 1 Quote
Spoopy Doo Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 (edited) If Angel Blue had better lyrics, it could actually be a pretty good song Honestly, Angel Blue isn't that bad as it is. The demo version is perfection. Edited July 7, 2015 by Bunz 1 Quote
Hungry Hungry Chump Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 In my opinion, this is one of Green Day's best Brain Stew performances to date (although, it has nothing to with it being played in my home town - that's just a plus). 3 Quote

Todd Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Just found this from Davide Hayes There’s a Green Day documentary too. I ain’t doin’ that neither. Just don’t wanna. Again good folks involved and I have nothing bad to say about the band. Way back in ‘94 I bitched about Green Day using my logo from the “1,000 Hours” 7inch for major label merch in an MRR ad. BJ sent me a note and a check for 2 grand. In 1994. Is the lesson here that I can be bought? Maybe. Crap. Quote
BilIie Joe Armstrong Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I bet Hobo Billie Joe ate too much raw ham Hobo Billie Joe still looked better than the Fat Elvis one, though, so this version of Waiting is more bearable than many. Is it only GDC or are Green Day fans in general negative? I don't remember exactly what things were like before I joined, but I think people were fairly positive on FB in 2011. Quote

I think it's just a few people on GDC who like to be negative. There's always been a few, although it used to be that periods of time when the band weren't doing much were characterized more by excessive speculation than whinging and whining about everything (really don't get the appeal of doing that or of trying to make it a GDC "thing" myself). But I still think it's really only a minority of GDCers and Green Day fans in general doing it. 3 Quote
Todd Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Watching these videos is the most bittersweet thing for me. I'd rather see Green Day play with Tim Armstrong than see that Sweet Children reunion. and what makes it even more painful is that Matt Freeman and Dave Mello were at the Gilman show. I don't remember if Jesse Michaels was too, I know he did the flier for the show, but they could've done a full Operation Ivy reunion for that song, I don't know why they only brought up Tim Anyways, these really give me feels 2 Quote
