Now that we're all on shutdown I re-watched Bullet in a Bible, Awesome as Fuck, their Reading 2013 performance, Rock am Ring 2013 and more and they're all excellent in their own ways. But the level of happiness, love, joy, passion and positive energy they showed on stage during RevRad remains unexcelled for me. It may not have been Billie's best era vocally, but it was definitely the most genuine, honest, cute, lovable and happy Green Day I have ever seen in my life and that's why it will probably always be my favourite era. I wish they would just release some footage of that time, for example their Hyde Park London performance 2017 which was filmed, but never released (some artists released stuff like that recently). I've been watching lots of GD videos and I always forget how fucking good that is. I wonder if Billie would still jump and run around as frenetically. He's always embodied St. Jimmy perfectly because that's part of him. He just transforms when he sings that. It's amazing to watch. It's like he was training for his Broadway role from the beginning. There’s quite a long stretch where they are working on it going to Broadway where you don’t see him at all!!!
