Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Not sure if this is worthy of a topic or not...mods can decide.Anyway Mike on the red carpet at Bass Player Live event gave his opinion on Foreverly/the Norah and Billie project...short but to the point I guess...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA5pYoV14fUI hope the link works I am on my phone with no clue how to imbed it with this device...
Hermione Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Short and sweet but no harm in having a thread for it!It's really nice to see him comment on it, and what he says about it is true
Overjoyyed Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I agree I would not have listened to this type of music if Billie did not sing it. In the past few years I have researched/ listened to Green Day's influences and it really is a "fun educational experience"- lol this makes me laugh as I am in the education field.
halfempty Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Ice to have your bandmates have your back Mike is great
LazyPhil Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Not sure whether Mike was annoyed or in a hurry...
alienlifeform Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 he says: "I think is a great gay way for people to figure out where rock and roll comes from" is that it?
yuan Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 he says: "I think is a great gay way for people to figure out where rock and roll comes from" is that it? I thought it's "gateway"? but i wouldn't say you're wrong, team bike
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 he says: "I think is a great gay way for people to figure out where rock and roll comes from" is that it? Yes that what he said.
alienlifeform Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 I thought it's "gateway"? but i wouldn't say you're wrong, team bike that makes way more sense thanks
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 Mike talks too quickly...I've always believed he needs subtitles...just permanently beneath him
Flyingdonutz Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 If this were Tre, I might believe he said "gay way". But since its Mike he must have said gateway.
Alex R. Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Did he say "gay way" or "gateway" ? Please make it clear to me, I'm confused.
MaraGreenDay Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Omg why the hell he said "gay way"? Cause that's how it sounds to me!
JIGD13 Posted November 14, 2013 Posted November 14, 2013 Nice I always like to hear Mike's voice, I think it's gay way.
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted November 14, 2013 Author Posted November 14, 2013 It sounds like "gay way" haha I swear I have no idea but that is funnier so what the heck...it really sounds like it though!! Mike's bad pronounciation strikes again
Hero_Of_The_Hour Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 This is hillarious...we have a ten second video and still no real idea what Mike is really trying to tell us...well done Mike you should consider politics
Karol Oliveira Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I thought I heard "great way". I heard the same thing.
sara_gd Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 I thought I heard "great way". I heard the same thing. There's something in between "great" and "way".
Hermione Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Lol at this thread It's "great gateway" people . He just dropped the "t" in "gate" a bit.
Annie, get your gun Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Lovely! Mike is always such a sweetie But I can't help to think that it was kind of wrong to ask him about that; it was a bassists event, and Mike Dirnt is Green Day's bassist, go ask something about HIM, not his friend's new project!
spark in the night Posted November 17, 2013 Posted November 17, 2013 Good answer Mike. I kinda get annoyed when someone asks Mike or Tre about something about Billie. How about "Hey Mike how are you enjoying the event?" Or something related to what's going on. They do that with sports too I've noticed. They will ask a random player on the team a question about the star player. Wtf. Ask them yourself
