Makes people feel like they are having a party at a friends and everyone's invited. The raw Punky stuff is good too, I think. Did you ever read a few of the magazine bios and the books etc...yes totally they worked and still work really hard. They ambition to play and write music and their dedicationto what they wanted took them there - to play music fot the rest of their lives. I get butt hurt when punk poseurs start with the Sellout stuff. They are doing what Operation ivy does - do what you want. He has alot originality etc. Since they people he used hang aroound with etc and those people at Gilman wrote " Bilie Joe must Die" he is well shot of them. Nice bunch of people, regardless as to the real reason he signed to reprise.

I honestly think Joe Strummer would have been insulted by being called a "rock star". I don't find it so horrible to have become a rock star. I can understand t's a blasphemy to punk but if he has been labeled as that, it's not to offend him in any way. I mean, I has become a rock star in spite of himself. Good rating (ranking ?) btw.

And with a list like this its hard to say who is the most definitive rock star. One might point at someone like Robert Plant while others would say someone like Steven Tyler or Freddie Mercury. Personally I think Robert Plant is by far the best frontman and stage presence of all time but I'm sure I'd find a lot of people who disagree with that. It would also say "Top 50 Definitive Rockstars". So yeah. This is unordered. If I say I have 50 bananas on my shelf, that doesn't mean I've got an order for them for how good they taste.

They can't all be the same and it's a lot easier to number the pictures than give them all a separate name. If they meant for the list to be ordered they would have made that clear. As with any magazine.
