Stefano Bras Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 As you can see, there's been A LOT of rumors about Green Day touring South America for the 99 Revolutions Tour, this rumors begun a quite long time ago (Like in 2011) and after the disaster at the IHeartRadio Festival, those rumors begun to stop. BUT! Like two weeks ago, some fan-websites claim that Green Day is almost confirmed to visit South America on March, April or May 2014. Also some "concert-makers" (I don't remember the actual word in english, Ok? ) are leaving some "clues" that confirme a bit these rumors like this tweet from @Evenpro (Venezuela's Concerts Company): #GreenDayVzla https://twitter.com/Evenpro/status/392809100507357184 All I'm trying to say, its that there are a lot of trustful sources that are confirming Green Day in Brazil, Venezuela, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile and Peru (And maybe in all South America). We just have to wait until Green Day make it official (Or maybe a big "NO"). What do you think folks?

inthehallwaynow Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 i dont live there so i dont know but it would be awesome if they did so more fans could see em!
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I don't know if that tweet is really a confirmation. Couldn't it just be a campaign to get them there? Granted, I only speak English, so I could also be full of shit. It's just easy to speculate without concrete facts. Hell, Tré messaged a friend of mine back on Facebook chat and said they were coming to Detroit this fall, most likely, and it never happened... you can't get more "official" than that. I guess what I'm saying is don't get your hopes up.

Also there are more "sources" that I could put here but there all on SPANISH so...
Liam Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 A topic like this just got closed lol. A topic like this got closed because the dates were from last year
AlissaGoesRAWR Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 No, I'm from Venezuela and I can tell it isn't a campaign. Also there are more "sources" that I could put here but there all on SPANISH so... Hmm. Interesting. I guess what I fear could be true — a big international tour in the spring, return to the U.S. in the fall, which would make it damn near impossible for me to see them as much as I want, unless the stars aligned. Much sadness. Much denial. Ah well, congrats nonetheless, South America!
Overjoyyed Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I just want the band to tour! and to tour anywhere. I like seeing them around and all that jazz. Just don't get your hopes up too high though. Touring is difficult to predict - especially in the Trilogy era we are in- cancelled tour dates not being rescheduled etc. We had a similar rumour about them playing a festival in Montreal (canada) and legit sources pretty much confirmed it. It was actually on the official website of the festival for 30 minutes one day and then it never happened. It highly sucks but C'est la Vie- That's life. I'm just saying it's difficult to speculate- I have a feeling the band just wants to end this era.
MaraGreenDay Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If this is true i'm gonna be so pissed....

It took some venues a couple days/a week or so to actually announce their concerts had been canceled after the iHeartRadio incident. Some people didn't get refunds for months. Such a mess...
DookieLukie Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 I'm kind of just hoping for a new album or some sort of new music before a new tour. They need to regain some momentum.
Davis Weiss Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 If this is true i'm gonna be so pissed.... Me too. They need to do something about the cancelled shows that they had planned before the iHeart incident. It would have been something if they had gone through Oregon and Washington (the majority of the dates in the states they didn't go to on the 99Revs tour) earlier this year but management didn't really do anything to get them onto the west coast.
alienlifeform Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 north america tho i'm selfish also I'm brazilian and i had to laugh at it. Its true, we're forgotten and we are always claiming to any artist to remember our "jungle" country and tour over here and you know man, there are some stupid idiots here.. Justin Bieber played 2 concerts last week here and on the first one someone threw a bottle that drop his microphone.. and then he left the stage and never came back... what i'm trying to say is, it's hard to ger great artists touring here, and when they come we screw a possibility of return...
Stefano Bras Posted November 5, 2013 Author Posted November 5, 2013 north america tho i'm selfish also Well, North American fans can't say a lot because Green Day usually tour all USA, in South America instead... They barely come.. In some countries here, they went just one, twice and the lucky ones three times. Also, that pic is hilarious.
Karol Oliveira Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 There are rumors every year. The most recent was that they were going to play at Lollapalooza next year. Chile and Argentina announced their line-up and no Green Day. There are some that comes from "trustful" sources but nothing happens in the end. I hope this one is true, like every other, but I don't have high expectations.

I read that yesterday! I didn't know that was in Brazil! HAHA! Bieber's such a little bitch. But it is ironic, given that you guys try so hard to get people there... There are rumors every year. There are some that comes from "trustful" sources but nothing happens in the end. Oh shit, I thought this was the same thing. Yeah, I remember those rumors seemed very "strong" too and again, nothing... With the lack of a U.S. tour other than a dozen dates, I doubt they'd head to South America. It just doesn't make sense.
Dai. Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 They fucking better, I tattooed their fucking faces on my leg, motherfuckers owe me. north america tho i'm selfish also HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Even if they do tour South America they'll do a special Midwest show May 10 As selfish as I want to be regarding them coming back here, it would be cool if they could return to other markets like these!
Oxymore Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Speculations are good when the Green day world is shut down.
Todd Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 Green Day plays the best shit on their south america tours
Annie, get your gun Posted November 5, 2013 Posted November 5, 2013 There was a rumour for Argentina as well... but rumours fucking piss me off, why can't they just confirm already?? They know they want to I'll say it again, I don't are if it's a festival, I need to see them The silly page that talked about it was making a poll about the bands you want to come to the festival... Everybody was voting for Green Day, hell yeah!
