Pied Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 http://www.discogs.com/Green-Day-Demo-Tape/release/3907466 Isn't it fake or something?
Sarcasm Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I actually read about this a while back. There is no recording of any of the unknown songs, and the whole thing is supposedly bogus. It's almost a Green Day creepypasta. I actually also recognize one of the names of the people on the site thats listed as the ones who has it. He was scamming people on eBay for fake bootlegs a little while back, and I sent in an email to eBay about it 3 times, but never heard about it again.
Jon Herroon Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Was the artwork on the tape used on the sleeve/inserts for 39/smooth, slappy or 1000 hours? Because I don't think it was, but it's there on the 1039/SOSH re-release artwork. If it's not from those, then where did it come from?
Guest Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Complete bullshit. I've seen that tracklist floated around so many times, nothing has ever come of it. I think I remember some troll on here trying to prove it's existence in the Downloads section back when I first joined.
PleasedToMeetMe Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 It's the Sweet Children EP and the KALX radio show from 1989 I'm guessing?
PleasedToMeetMe Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I always thought the KALX radio show sounded like it could have been low quality demos from the bands early days, but I asked Larry Livermore once on here if the band ever recorded anything during the Lookout days that we've never heard and he said no. So, I guess that settles that.
Liam Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 I'm pretty sure it's fake. Someone posted "My Generation" from the tape and it just sounds like they've added reverb to it, cut some sound effects out and pasted them in different spots only mixed to the left or right channel.
